After watching some soccer this morning, we walked to get lunch for the very first time from the Blue Jay! It’s been a Northside staple for the last sixty years…
It’s kinda hard to believe it’s taken us over a year to eat here for the first time. But I think I know why. The Blue Jay is open Monday through Saturday until 3pm. And we just don’t move very fast on most Saturdays…
The inside is an awesome throwback to a bygone era…
It was lunchtime. And we both went for burgers…
And they were awesome! Nothing fancy, just a really solid burger. Last year, Blue Jay closed for a day so it could serve as a movie set. Come to find out that the movie is “The Killing of a Sacred Deer“ which is in theatres now and stars Colin Farrel, Nicole Kidman and Alicia Silverstone.
We’ve already started plotting what we’re going to order on our next visit. Depending on what time we roll in, it’s either going to be pancakes and omelets or we’re going to give their Cincinnati chili a try with some cheese coneys and three-ways. What a terrific place! 😀🐦🎥❤️
