The Cyclones scored as soon as we got into US Bank Arena. But for some reason the goal never made it to the scoreboard. It must have been disallowed for some reason…
Come to find out it was FC Cincinnati takeover night at tonight’s Cyclones game. There were a fair amount of FC Cincinnati supporters that descended upon US Bank Arena clad in Orange and Blue complete with drums and songs straight out of The Bailey…
Had we known, we’d have worn some our FC Cincinnati scarves…
That’s an impressive first period of work…
At the start of the second period, the ‘Clones trailed Fort Wayne 1-0…
And at the end of the second, it was still 1-0…
Our Cyclones selfie made the big board for the first time this season…
Twister joined forces with the FC Cincinnati contingent…
Fort Wayne added the empty netter at the end of the third period…
After the game, the Uber rates were kind of ridiculous for some reason. There’s no way the 1810 people in attendance at tonight’s game couldn’t have a surge like that. So we walked up to Igby’s on Sixth Street, and had a beer while we waited for the surge to return to normal…
Before we could even finish our beer, the Uber rates had gone back to normal. Once we were ready, we got our Uber and headed from home. Win or lose, it was yet another great night of Cincinnati Cyclones hockey! 🙂
The view from our 12-game season ticket seats is pretty nice…
LET’S PLAY HOCKEY!
There were plenty of good seats still available…
At the end of the first period, the ‘Clones were up 2-0 on the Quad City Mallards…
The Cyclones got a new “zamboni” from that chicken place. The Twister, Porkchop and some fans ride around the ice for a couple of laps and throw out a few t-shirts. But strangely, no new ice is actually laid down…
And then the actual zambonis come out and resurface the ice. Back to hockey…
At the end of the second, it was 3-1 Cyclones…
And the Cyclones won 4-1!
We took an Uber home after the game, and our Uber bill was just 13¢ thanks to a $10 credit we had from last weekend. It was a great surprise ending to a great evening of Cyclones hockey! 🙂
Genifer got us another 12-game pack of tickets to our Cincinnati Cyclones. And this afternoon, I walked down to US Bank Arena to pick up our hockey tickets…
They were busy getting ready for Carrie Underwood and Disney on Ice at US Bank Arena…
I sure hope the ‘Clones can add to their banner collection again this season…
Tonight, we went to our 9th Cyclones hockey game of the season at US Bank Arena.
Our Cyclones were playing the Indy Fuel. Again. It seems like in the nine games we’ve been to so far this season, we’ve only seen the ‘Clones play three or four teams…
At the end of the first, the Cyclones were up 2-0!
At the beginning of the third, it was still 2-0 Cyclones…
The Cyclones were taking on the Fort Wayne Komets again. It seems like we’ve only seen the ‘Clones play only three teams over the eight games we’ve been to so far this season.
This guys wears shorts and flip-flops to every Cyclones game, no matter how cold…
At the end of the first, it was still all knotted at zeros…
1-0 CYCLONES!
There’s always someone with a vuvuzela…
Hi there! It was starting get a bit chippy…
Because at the end of the second the Cyclones trailed 3-1…
Our photo made the big screen at US Bank Arena! Again!
4-1…
And that’s how it would end. 4-1 Komets over the ‘Clones…
Hopefully, the Cyclones will bounce back for our next hockey game. 🙂
It seems like it’s been forever and a day since we’ve been to our last Cyclones hockey game. They’ve been out of town for the last couple of weeks, and we’ve been longing for some hockey. Tonight, we got to go to our seventh hockey game of the season down at US Bank Arena…
We were really surprised at just how many people were at the game tonight…
At the end of the first, the Cyclones trailed the Fuel 2-1…
It started getting pretty scrappy…
At the end of the season, the Cyclones now trailed 3-1…
Win or lose, the Cyclones games are always really fun. 🙂
Going into the third period, the Toledo Walleye were up 1-0…
For the third period, we moved over to our season ticket seats…
At the end of the third, the game was knotted at one all. EXTRA HOCKEY! The game moved to a five-minute three-on-three sudden death overtime period…
At the end of the five minute sudden death overtime, it was still all knotted at one. EXTRA EXTRA HOCKEY!! And onto shoot-outs! But the Cyclones lost in the shoot-outs.
