Reds Opening Night 2016.

Tonight was Opening Night of the 2016 season of Reds baseball. It was another cold and rainy start a Reds baseball season. But at least this game started on time unlike last year’s Opening Night.

We had about all we could stand of the rainy and the cold and the wind. The wind was the worst part. It just cut right through you. We wandered down the third base line of the upper deck to find the latest addition to GABP, the brand new The Fioptics District sponsored by Cincinnati Bell located in the left field corner of the View Level…

Upstairs there are soooo many TVs on this amazing patio. Tickets for the Fioptics District are just $15 and they include a $9 drink voucher for your first beer. The ticket also gives fans general admission access into sections 408-410, with both traditional ballpark seats as well as standing drink rails. And access to this incredible patio overlooking all of downtown and Mt. Adams…

Underneath the Fioptics District Rooftop is The Fioptics Gigabar…

The Reds were trailing 2-1 going into the ninth. Time for some rally caps!

AND THEY WORKED! Scott Schebler delivered a walk-off double with the bases loaded to give the Reds a 3-2 victory over the Phillies and the first two games of the season-opening series!

It was another great Opening Night! It definitely could have been warmer. But it was a great Opening Night nonetheless. Welcome back, baseball! 🙂

HAPPY OPENING DAY!

Happy Opening Day from Eighth Street in downtown Cincinnati! #BaseballIsBack!
⚾️👍👌:) Here is the rundown of all today’s pregame events around downtown Cincinnati. And more here. But… with FC Cincinnati’s inaugural home opener on Saturday, I think this should officially be dubbed OPENING WEEK! ⚽️ 🏆 💯

We have our tickets for Opening Night of the 2016 season of Cincinnati Reds baseball…

We can’t wait for the baseball season to start! Taken with Instagram. 🙂

Happy Pitchers and Catchers Day!

The first real sign of Spring is here! Pitchers and catchers report for spring training today! It won’t won’t be long until we’re finally watching Reds baseball again! And I can’t wait. Remember when we went to Spring Training out in Arizona last spring? It was an amazing week! I don’t know that this season will ever be able to compete the awesomeness that was last season. And I know we’re not going to even try to get close to the 46 Reds games we went to during the All-Star summer. But I can definitely see us making it down to 20+ Reds games at GABP this season. And the Reds may be rebuilding but really, who cares? Baseball is back! ⚾🌵 🙂

Redsfest.

Tonight, we went over to Duke Energy Convention Center to check out this year’s Redsfest

Everyone in attendance got one of these great Reds drawstring backpacks and a Reds stocking cap…

Tucker Barnhart…

The Kids Only Interview with Tucker Barnhart, Zack Cozart and Homer Bailey led to some pretty funny questions and answers…

We spotted @DatDudeBP, Brandon Phillips…

We checked out the kids area Fun Zone on the third floor…

And then moved down to the Season Ticket Member Ultra Lounge on the second floor…

And while we were hanging out, 2015 Home Run Derby champ Todd Frazier showed up for a Q&A…

Back down to the main floor…

And then back up to the Season Ticket Member Ultra Lounge…

Where we stumbled into another Q&A with a couple of Reds prospects…

Marty Brennaman was leading the Q&A…

On the way out, we ran into Santa…

It was another pretty awesome Redsfest! Afterwards, we stopped into Red Roost Tavern, and tried the Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin. That’s one spicy beer…

It was a great Friday! Click to see all the photos I took at Redsfest 2015. 🙂

Redfest tickets!

We received two complimentary tickets to next weekend’s Redsfest at Duke Energy Center in the mail today from our beloved Cincinnati Reds…

Thanks Reds! Last season was a season of Reds baseball for the ages. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every game we attended. And we had an absolute blast at last year’s Redfest! But with all the trade rumors swirling around, we’re going to wait and see what happens with two of our favorite Reds, Aroldis Chapman and Brandon Phillips before we’ll be making any final decisions on whether or not we’ll be back as season ticket holders again next season. But we were definitely planning on attending Redfest! Thanks again for the free 2-day passes! 🙂

Our Reds All-Star Legacy brick.

The Reds All-Star Legacy brick that Josh, Jeannette, Violette and Edgerton ordered for us as an engagement present arrived in the mail today…

We love it! We can’t wait to find our brick down at Great American Ball Park next season! Thanks JJVE! 🙂
