This morning Genifer ran in The Hamilton Hightail Run. Hosted by Higher Gravity and JackRabbit, The Hamilton Hightail Run was a bar and brewery run billed as a fun and social prep event for the Flying Pig Marathon…
The race started at Higher Gravity with a 2.8-mile run up the Hamilton Avenue hill to Brink Brewing in College Hill. From there the race came back down Hamilton Avenue to Urban Artifact and then ended with a 0.2-mile sprint down Blue Rock Street back to Higher Gravity…
And a little over two hours later, I spotted Genifer about to cross Hamilton Avenue back to Higher Gravity. And I managed to get a video of her finishing the run…
She completed the run in just over 2 hours and 20 minutes…
And then we got to have a couple of beers together. She said it was a pretty good run. The worst part about it was the leg up to Brink because it was almost entirely uphill. I chose to stay and wait for her at Higher Gravity. In hindsight, I should have just caught the 17 bus up Hamilton to meet her at Brink. And then rode the 17 back down Hamilton and walked over to Higher Gravity. If they do the run again next year, that’s exactly what I’ll do. đđââď¸đťâ¤ď¸
