Americano Burger Bar.

Tonight, we went over to check out the brand new Americano Burger Bar on Race Street in downtown Cincinnati. Americano is the latest concept from Chef Christian Pietoso who owns both Via Vite on Fountain Square and Forno Osteria in Hyde Park…

The ceiling is pretty spectacular…

An American flag made completely out of Budweiser and Miller Lite cans…

We shared the Americano Burger, not pink with a half-order of the cajun seasoned fries…

And the mini corn dogs, which turned out to be not so mini at all…

The burger was outstanding. Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had downtown. The mini corn dogs we really delicious as well. And we wished we would have ordered a full order of the cajun seasoned fries. They were incredible. Delicious stuff!

After we finished our burger, it was time for some shuffleboard…

Americano is fantastic. The burgers are out of this world. There’s a great draft beer list. And how can you possibly go wrong with shuffleboard? I see this place quickly becoming one of our favorite go-tos.

Someone did a drawling in the dirt on the front window of the old Dennison Hotel on Main Street…

BRU Burger Bar.

This evening we stopped in to check the brand new BRU Burger Bar at the corner of Walnut and Sixth Streets…

We started with a couple of the Ballast Point Pineapple Sculpins…

And we decided to share the BRU Burger…

Just look at all that burger deliciousness…

That was one delicious burger! And the fries were on point too. Perfect! And then Genifer tried their Peach Cosmo and I had a Founder’s Breakfast Stout…

BRU Burger Bar has some great, affordable burgers that large enough to share, and a great draft beer list. We’ll definitely be back very soon! And often! 🙂

Lunch at V’s Cafe on Seventh.

After checking the new FC Cincinnati store, we swung through the new V’s Cafe on Seventh to grab some lunch to go…

I ordered the Not Another Club… Turkey with house maple espresso bacon, white goat cheddar cheese finished with a red pepper aioli on a flaky croissant bun…

It was a pretty delicious sammich…

And their deviled eggs were pretty unbelievable…

I also some of the best broccoli cheddar soup I’ve ever had. Genifer ordered the Shamrock pastrami sammich but somehow ended up with the Dagwood instead. She said it was good but she really had her heart said on the Shamrock. We’ll definitely be back for lunch at V’s Cafe on Seventh. Hopefully then Genifer can finally get her pastrami.  🙂

On our way to Redsfest, we couldn’t help but notice that it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Cincinnati. The Olympic Garage…

In the lobby of the Westin…

The big holiday tree on the Square

And in Carew Tower…

And then after Redsfest, we got a closer look at the tree on the Square…

And Arnold’s is also looking very festive…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Cincinnati. 🙂

Light Up the Square.

We headed over to Fountain Square this evening for the annual Light Up the Square

We got over to the Square right as the fireworks were starting…

Every year it seems like they try to cram more and more stuff around the ice rink on the Square, and there is less and less space to get a good view of stuff like Light Up the Square…

Click to see all the photos I took at this year’s Light Up the Square. 🙂

Good Morning America.

When we were out on our morning dog walk, we stumbled across the “Good Morning America” 40th anniversary tour bus outside of the P&G General Offices on a “40 for 40” Express bus stop in downtown Cincinnati…

There’s something you won’t see every day. 🙂

Heading off to work…

Heading home from work…

And walking Oscar down to Lytle Park…

We were pretty low-key today. 🙂

There’s an amazing 1940s marble mural designed and installed by the past president of Rookwood Pottery, John Dee Wareham on one of the walls inside of Salon Beck

Here’s another photo of the mural. Taken with Instagram. 🙂
