This morning there was an Ohio National Guard F-16 flyover above Cincinnati called Operation American Resolve. The flyover was to salute all the Cincinnati heroes on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Ohio Air National Guard will take to the skies this week to pay tribute to the healthcare workers, first responders, military members, and other essential personnel at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 180th Fighter Wing will conduct a series of flyovers across the state throughout the day Thursday. The guard says they want to lift the spirits of the heroes fighting COVID-19 every day and all Ohioans affected by the crisis. A tentative schedule released by the Ohio National Guard indicates the Fighter wing will flyover Cincinnati around 10:30am.
This was the map of the route with all the hospitals they were going to flyover…
I was so excited about this flyover. I thought we’d have a really good chance to see the F-16s atop the hill at the end of our street. But I got caught up in one of my work projects, lost track of time, and completely forgot about the flyover until I heard the roar of the F-16s coming from above our house. It sounded like it went right over us.
I was so bummed that we missed it. The clips of the Cincinnati Flyover I saw on Twitter looked pretty awesome though. I wish I could have seen it for myself.
But what a wonderful salute to our front line heroes in Cincinnati. Thank you for all you do! We appreciate you! And thank you to the National Guard for the flyover on a very beautiful morning in Cincinnati.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CINCINNATI HEROES!
