Happy start to long Memorial Day weekend! We both had the day off work today so we took this opportunity to work on our front yard. We got up early this morning and ran over to Lowe’s to get some supplies. This is what we were starting with…

A few weeks ago, we ripped up a bunch of weeds and some grass on the far side of our lawn. When we got home from Lowe’s, we pulled up the bricks that lined our path in our backyard and brought them around to the front yard to create an area to contain some small stones…

We planted a couple of little bushes and laid down weed barrier fabric…

And then we added all our bags of stones and placed our stepping stones…

It’s turning out really nice. We’re really happy with the progress we’ve made. We need a few more bags of stones and sink our stepping stones a bit. But we’ll keep plugging away to make our front yard look nicer. 😀🏡❤️
