Happy Cinco de Mayo!

We had a little Cinco de Mayo gathering this rainy evening. Our house was packed with nine adults and six kids under the age of eight. It was a bit chaotic but a bunch of fun. We hope everyone had a wonderful Friday celebrating some obscure Mexican military victory over the French. 🙂

Grilling with Clifton Market.

On my way home, I stopped in Clifton to pick up some stuff to grill for dinner …

I picked up some regular burger patties and and some cheddar bacon stuffed burger patties from the meat counter at the new Clifton Market…

I grabbed my groceries and headed to get back on the bus…

Check out these odd little creatures in one of the shop windows along Ludlow Avenue…

When I got home, we fired up the grill…

We threw a few hot dogs on the grill as well…

And Genifer made a bunch of oven fries…

And it was another awesome dinner off the grill…

Those cheddar and bacon stuffed burgers were just outstanding. We’re definitely have to get some more very soon. And we’re definitely loving our new grill. I think we could grill every night and never get tired of it. 🙂

NYPD & Reds baseball.

This evening we ordered a Station House Pizza from NYPD and watched the Reds. NYPD pizza and Reds baseball sounds like a pretty perfect Tuesday evening to me…

We really like NYPD’s pizzas. They’re such good stuff. But the Reds lost 12-3 to the Pirates. :/

Good morning.

Good morning from Northside. 🙂

Pause for paws.

Oscar was all comfy, cozy and crashed out on our bed as we watched some of the new Mystery Science Theatre 3000 on Netflix this evening…

🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

Tonight, Genifer made this amazing Honey Sriracha Chicken for dinner tonight…

It was awesome! This dish is one of our new favorites! Genifer makes such good stuff! 🙂

Sunday grilling.

We put together our new grill a week ago today, and we grilled three times during the first week of having our new grill. Today, we really gave our new grill a workout…

We fired it up for some steaks and baked potatoes…

And we also tossed on some chicken breasts and hot dogs for lunches this week…

We warmed up some leftover mac & cheese from The Eagle, and it was awesome…

It was another amazing meal off the grill. We love to #SlowDownAndGrill. 🙂

Six years ago today.

Today is the six-year anniversary of our very first date. On our first date, we went to a Reds game. And afterwards, we went to see a couple of our favorite bands play. It was a great night. And the best first date ever. Unfortunately, this year both the Reds and FC Cincinnati were out of town the whole weekend of our anniversary.

But it’s been another wonderful year full of amazing dates and fun adventures. We can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

I love you, baby! 😀 ❤️

FC Cincinnati x Second Place.

After Brink, we rode the bus from up in College Hill back down Hamilton Avenue into Northside and stopped into Second Place to watch our FC Cincinnati play away to Bethlehem Steel for the second time the last five matches. It doesn’t make any sense but whatever. FC Cincinnati away matches are more fun with a couple of Second Place’s bourbon slushes…

FC Cincinnati lost 1-0 to Bethlehem Steel. And after today’s match, an FC|C player has been sent off after receiving a straight red card in four of the last five matches. It’s been ridiculous and pretty unbelievable. But at least, the slushies were delicious. :/

Oscar says good morning…

It’s still Friday even if it is a little overcast this morning…

☁️  And we saw this snail crossing the sidewalk…

We ❤️ Northside too!  Taken with Instagram. 🙂
