Homemade soft serve ice cream.

For Christmas, Genifer’s mom got me this Cuisinart soft serve ice cream maker

And tonight, we finally got to test it out. We mixed up all the ingredients for a simple chocolate ice cream. Only instead of cocoa powder, we used Nestle Quik powder because why not? Hopefully, it’ll be like a glass of frozen chocolate milk…

While it it worked on making the ice cream, we filled up the mix-in containers…

I lost track of how long it took for the liquid ingredients we poured into the ice cream maker to actually become ice cream. It wasn’t the world’s fastest transformation by any stretch. But eventually, we had our very first batch of homemade ice cream…

And it was delicious stuff! So chocolately and good. Now we just need to work on our ice cream serving skills because our curly cones were kind of sad. I can’t wait to keep trying new flavors. This is going to be so awesome come the summer time. I see some soft serve pina coladas in our future. 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made Chicken Fried Rice for dinner tonight…

And it was outstanding! She’s such a good cook! 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

We made a supreme DiGiorno pizza for dinner tonight with cheese stuffed crust…

It’s been a while since I had a DiGiorno pizza. But I don’t remember them being this good! Taken with Instagram. 🍕 🙂

A very busy Friday.

We were so busy at work today that they brought in Donato’s pizza for lunch…

Donatos pizza makes for a really good lunch, especially when it’s a free Donatos pizza lunch. And a smiley face cookie fromServatii Pastry Shop helped get me through the rest of the afternoon…

But everything got done and got done very well. It was a pretty good but very, very  busy Friday. 🙂

Fusian sushi.

After work, I stopped to get us some carry-out sushi from Fusian on Sixth Street

Then I hopped on the Metro 17 bus with our big bag of sushi and headed for home…

We shared a California roll, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and a pb&j roll…

Fusian’s sushi is such outstanding, delicious stuff!  We’re going to have to do this much more often! 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made this cheesy spaghetti bake with meatballs for dinner tonight…

It used both spaghetti sauce and alfredo sauce, and it looked amazing…

And it tasted every bit as delicious as it looked! I think this is going to quickly become a new favorite! 🙂

Playoff Sunday with NYPD.

We ordered some delicious NYPD Pizza for the Cowboys playoff game against the Packers. I got a medium traditional crust with sausage-ham-mushrooms…

Genifer got a personal crispy thin crust with pepperoni and onions…

And we also ordered some of NYPD’s cheesy garlic bread…

Unfortunately, the pizza was the best part of the game. :/

Waffles!

We had chocolate chip waffles for breakfast this morning…

And they were delicious! Taken with Instagram. 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

We had chicken bake for dinner! I loooove a good chicken bake…

And Genifer made some chocolate chip cookies too…

She is such a good cook! 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight. I loooove spaghetti and meatballs…

But I really love garlic bread. Garlic bread is the best. It makes any meal even better. 🙂
