FC Cincinnati Open House.

This afternoon we went up to the University of Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium, future home of FC Cincinnati for an open house to get some information on season tickets and do a stadium walkthrough to try to get an idea of where we’d like to sit for the inaugural season of FC Cincinnati soccer…

We reserved our spot in line for season tickets the day it was announced that Cincinnati was getting a USL soccer team

FC Cincinnati’s Jeff Smith was on hand to answer any questions about the season ticket program…

The view from the club level…

We were told that midfield would be around the 40-45 yard line. And that we learned that come soccer season in March/April, all the football lines will be gone, and the field will only be lined for soccer; a true soccer field. All very exciting news. But anyway, we’re thinking about getting seats right around here…

We really can’t wait for the start of the inaugural season of FC Cincinnati soccer! 🙂

Good Morning America.

When we were out on our morning dog walk, we stumbled across the “Good Morning America” 40th anniversary tour bus outside of the P&G General Offices on a “40 for 40” Express bus stop in downtown Cincinnati…

There’s something you won’t see every day. 🙂

#TBT Pause for paws.

Milan used to love chewing on his Nylabones. 🙂

Pause for paws.

Ugh. Monday mornings, amiright? Oscar was all snug as a bug in a rug. And he had his duck and jelly sammich close by. That’s you how you deal with a Monday. Just ignore it, and hope it will go away…

We could tell if he was missing Milan, bummed about the Bengals losing their first game of the season or just ready for bed…

Oscar, the little bud dog. He’s a character. 🙂

Braxton Brewing Co.

After Genifer got home from work, we ventured over across the river to Covington…

To finally check out Braxton Brewing Company

I was tinkering with the idea of coming over yesterday to check it out. Braxton was having a Block Party. But I thought it would be way more fun to wait and check out Braxton for the first time with Genifer.

We got a taster flight with Storm Golden Cream Ale, Dead Blow Tropical Stout, Dead Blow brewed with Starter Coffee and Level Saison

The Dead Blow with Starter Coffee was out of this world. Was it beer? Was it coffee? There’s no need to decide. It was just pure amazing.

After the taster, I got a Storm and Genifer got a Dead Blow on nitro…

We followed that up with two of the Dead Blows brewed with Starter Coffee. Outstanding.

Google Maps has an awesome 360º interactive view of the interior of the Braxton taproom

We hung out and watched the Pats eek out the one-point win over the Giants.

Great beers. Awesome place. We’ll definitely be back! 🙂

Seen & noted.

When we were walking Oscar this morning, they were hanging the giant holiday wreathes around the P&G Global Offices…

I guess it’s getting towards that time of year. It’s beginning to look like the holiday season. I just really wish the Christmas decorations would start making their appearance closer to Christmas. At least after Thanksgiving. :/

Pause for paws.

Oscar was just hanging out on our bed after the hockey game this evening…

Silly head. He’s so cute. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #4.

At lunchtime, we walked down to US Bank Arena to get tickets for our fourth Cyclones hockey game of the season because it’s Throwback Night... $10 tickets, $1 pizza, hot dogs and beers. And it’s also the annual Teddy Bear Toss night where everyone brings a stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the Cyclones score their first goal. The calm before the storm at US Bank Arena…

We picked up some Jimmy Johns for lunch while we were down in The Banks…

And then this evening, we headed back down to US Bank Arena…

And as we were on our way to our seats, the Cyclones scored! UNLEASH THE TEDDY’S!

And back to hockey. At the end of the first period, it was 2-0 Cyclones…

There’s always one stuffed animal that doesn’t quite make it to the ice and gets caught up in the netting behind the goal…

Except tonight, there were two…

Trailing 2-1, the Quad City Mallards pulled their goalie…

And the ‘Clones capitalized on the empty to take a 3-1 lead for the win!

The Cyclones are off to a great 7-2-0-1 start in their first ten games of the season! We love our ‘Clones! Click to see all the photos I took at Cyclones hockey game #4 of the season. 🙂

Good morning.

Good morning from downtown Cincinnati…

Today is the last Friday the 13th of 2015. Be careful out there today. Taken with Instagram. 🙂

Downtown details.

Heading off to work…

Heading home from work…

And walking Oscar down to Lytle Park…

We were pretty low-key today. 🙂
