I was running a couple of errands around downtown this morning. And on my way back to the office, I saw this little guy in the crosswalk at Sixth and Walnut Streets…
I wonder what his story is? It reminds me a lot of the Toynbee Tiles around downtown. I’ll have to keep an eye out to try to see if there are any more of them around downtown Cincinnati. 😀🏙️🤖❤️

Bakersfield Taco Bar.
An incredible taco bar from Bakersfield showed up in one of the conference rooms at work today. There were big tubs of short rib and pollo rojo and Bakersfield queso…
Look at all that delicious Bakersfield salsa…
And of course, there were tubs of Bakersfield’s famous guacamole…
It made for a very unexpected but pretty terrific lunch…
I wish stuff like this would show up in the office every day. 😀🌮❤️

Spoon&Cellar’s Steakburger.
Recently, I found an unused Downtown Gift Card while I was organizing. Over on DowntownCincy.com, I was scanning the list of all the restaurants that accept Downtown Gift Cards looking for something new and different from lunch. I noticed that one of the participants was Spoon&Cellar at the new Holiday Inn just around the corner from our office over on Seventh Street. I had Spoon&Cellar’s club sammich a while back and it was really good. So today, I decided to use a portion of Downtown Gift Card and get a Spoon&Cellar Steakburger with bacon for lunch…
That was a really excellent burger. Nothing fancy just a really good burger. 😀🍔🍟❤️

Opening Day Parade Party.
They’ve kind of made a mess of the start of the baseball season this year. The season officially started last Thursday but the first Reds game was rained out and played on Friday. In Cincinnati, there’s always the big Findlay Market Opening Day Parade before the first game and it’s always been on Opening Day for as long as I long as I’ve lived in Cincinnati. But this year’s parade wasn’t until today. Because I guess the parade has to be on a Monday for some reason. Today, we also had our annual Opening Day Party at work. There was big grill out with all sorts of food…
And we played a bunch of different games like pin the baseball on the catcher…
It made for a very fun afternoon at work celebrating the return of another baseball season to Cincinnati. 😀⚾️🍔🌭❤️
