Reds Opening Night 2016.

Tonight was Opening Night of the 2016 season of Reds baseball. It was another cold and rainy start a Reds baseball season. But at least this game started on time unlike last year’s Opening Night

We had about all we could stand of the rainy and the cold and the wind. The wind was the worst part. It just cut right through you. We wandered down the third base line of the upper deck to find the latest addition to GABP, the brand new The Fioptics District sponsored by Cincinnati Bell located in the left field corner of the View Level…

Upstairs there are soooo many TVs on this amazing patio. Tickets for the Fioptics District are just $15 and they include a $9 drink voucher for your first beer. The ticket also gives fans general admission access into sections 408-410, with both traditional ballpark seats as well as standing drink rails. And access to this incredible patio overlooking all of downtown and Mt. Adams…

Underneath the Fioptics District Rooftop is The Fioptics Gigabar…

The Reds were trailing 2-1 going into the ninth. Time for some rally caps!

AND THEY WORKED! Scott Schebler delivered a walk-off double with the bases loaded to give the Reds a 3-2 victory over the Phillies and the first two games of the season-opening series!

It was another great Opening Night! It definitely could have been warmer. But it was a great Opening Night nonetheless. Welcome back, baseball! 🙂

Pause for paws.

HAPPY OPENING DAY!

Happy Opening Day from Eighth Street in downtown Cincinnati! #BaseballIsBack!
⚾️👍👌:) Here is the rundown of all today’s pregame events around downtown Cincinnati. And more here. But… with FC Cincinnati’s inaugural home opener on Saturday, I think this should officially be dubbed OPENING WEEK! ⚽️ 🏆 💯

A pretty lazy Sunday.

Today was a pretty low-key Sunday for us, just resting and gearing up for tomorrow’s big Opening Day festivities and we gear up for the start of another season of Reds baseball. This week is going to be a busy one for us. We’re going to FC Cincinnati’s friendly against Dayton on Tuesday, Reds Opening Night on Wednesday, looking at some houses on Thursday and going to FC|C’s inaugural home opener on Saturday. So we just laid pretty low today. We took Oscar out on some walks…

We streamed the FC Cincinnati match live on YouTube, and watched them pick up their first franchise win, 2-1 away to Bethlehem Steel FC!

The goal scored by FC|C striker Sean Okoli was named one of the top five goals from Week 2 in the USL! And finally, we got some DQ Blizzards and chilled…

It was a pretty low-key Sunday. 🙂

Good evening.

Good evening from downtown Cincinnati…

FC Cincinnati.

This afternoon FC Cincinnati was having a 20% off sale on all FC|C merchandise at their store on Fourth Street…

Genifer added a hoodie to her FC|C wardrobe, and I added a t-shirt. And we both picked up FC Cincinnati home jerseys! We have our fingers crossed for nice weather for the reserve match against University of Dayton on Tuesday. But regardless of the weather, we’ll be at Nippert Stadium to watch FC Cincinnati’s inaugural home game on Saturday. And we couldn’t possibly be more excited. 🙂

Constructing Cincinnati.

Working on the parking structure on Sycamore at Seventh Streets. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #15.

Saturday night is Cyclones final home game of the regular season. And tonight was the last $1 beer night of the regular season. It’s our final regular season Cyclones game of the year. Game #15 of the season

Our photo made the big screen again

And the ‘Clones won by the lopsided score of 6-1!

It was another amazing season of Cyclones hockey. Click to see all the photos I took at Cyclones hockey game #15 of the season. See you at the Kelly Cup playoffs in a few weeks! 🙂

48,000 Check-ins!

I hit the milestone of 48,000 check-ins on my Foursquare/Swarm…

I really like my check-ins! 🙂

Happy birthday to Cincinnati’s Union Terminal!

A very happy birthday to Cincinnati’s Union Terminal and all our friends over at Cincinnati Museum Center. Work started on Union Terminal all the way back in August of 1929. It was completed and officially opened to the public 83 years ago today!

Remember when Genifer and I got to go on a behind the scenes tour of Union Terminal? And all the #VoteYESon8 #VoteYesUT support to get Union Terminal the restoration help it so desperately needs?

Happy birthday to a historic Cincinnati treasure. Here’s to another 83 years! 🙂
