On this rainy Thursday evening, we went up into Over-the-Rhine to Rhinegeist…
They were hosting their Hustle Home Run Derby for a Cause…

It was the launch of Rhinegeist’s Hustle Rye Pale Ale, and wiffle ball home run derby! A $5 donation got participants 10 swings and the chance to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. All proceeds benefit Bow Tie Cause and Butler County Challenger Baseball…
Prizes included a limited edition Rhinegeist-branded bat from Louisville Slugger, free tickets to the Galloping Pig annual polo event and Rhinegeist merch. There were also ballpark style hot dogs provided by Dutch’s Larder…
With the launch of Rhinegeist’s Hustle Rye Pale Ale, you got to take home a Hustle pint glass for $1 with the purchase of a Hustle Rye Pale Ale…
I think I’ve just found a brand new favorite pint glass for Reds baseball season!
And then it was finally my turn…
I didn’t hit any home runs. I made some good contact but had a couple of swings and misses too. Still, it was a blast of an evening. Bring on baseball season! 🙂

Genifer goes to Kim Hardewig’s Boot Camp in Mt. Lookout a few times a week. After boot camp this morning, they stopped at Mt. Lookout Tavern for a green beer…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here’s hoping you get to lift a couple of these…
Or a couple of these today…
And may the luck of the Irish be with you today and everyday. #ErinGoBragh! 😀

Tonight, we went out to celebrate being back from Jamaica for one week…

Taken with Instagram at Horse & Barrel. And tomorrow, I’ll have been married to the love of my life for two weeks now…

After driving around Northside for a little bit and looking at some houses, we stopped in to check out Urban Artifact. Urban Artifact is a craft brewery with a taproom, full bar and live music venue. The taproom is built in the lower level of the historic St. Patrick’s church on Blue Rock Road in Northside. The brewery is located in the old church gymnasium building just behind the church. Only the taproom was open when we stopped in to check the place out this Sunday afternoon…
Our favorites were the Finn, Tiramisu Cauldron, Kicksled but our very most favorite was Abacus, a Chocolate Raspberry Gose. We had tried it before at Nation with my parents. We played some Battleship…
When Genifer sunk my little ship, it was all over…
And we played some Connect Four…
Connect Four is a pretty silly game. It’s like the tic-tac-toe of board games. The taproom was pretty empty…
Probably because of the snow storm that was starting to pick-up. But it was a really fun place. A little on the chilly side. Also probably because of the snow storm. But it was a great place with some incredible beers. We can’t wait to come back and check out the rest of Urban Artifact:)

After a burger at Americano, we stopped down the block at Mita’s for a nightcap. Mita’s is the next restaurant from Chef Jose Salazar, and is named after his Colombian grandmother, his “Mita.”
The atmosphere combines modern, clean architecture with expansive 25-foot windows, bright and colorful Moorish tiles, reclaimed wood floors and warm inviting fabrics…
Genifer’s deliciously spicy El Luchador…
I had a Caipirinha. Just like we had in Old San Juan…
The interior of Mita’s is gorgeous. It’s one of those places that when you’re in, you don’t feel like you’re in Cincinnati anymore. It’s a beautiful space…
We’ll have to come back to Mita’s for lunch or dinner very soon. 🙂
Well… maybe lunch. The dinner menu looks stupid expensive.
