Good evening from Northside.

Good evening from Northside. 😀🌄❤️

A morning run around.

We had the day off work today for the MLK Jr Day holiday. This morning we got up early to run some errands. We planned on stopping to get coffee at College Hill Coffee Company in College Hill…

But they’re closed on Mondays. We picked up a refill of Mack’s allergy medicine from his vet down the street in College Hill. And then we headed over to Rookwood. We finally got coffee and hot chocolate from Joseph-Beth Booksellers. We had a couple of exchanges at J. Crew. And ran through Home goods where we saw an awesome Josh mug. You don’t see Josh mugs very often. This one will be on its way out to Boston as soon as I can find a little box to put it in…

After we were done running our errands, we had lunch at Rusty Bucket. It’s funny it seems like every time we’re over at Rookwood we end up eating lunch at Rusty Bucket…

It’s nothing fancy. It’s just really good. Genifer’s been on quite a quesadilla kick lately…

Making it two days in a row. But we shared the first one so… I had the same sammich I order every single time we go to Rusty Bucket, Chicken Finger BLT...

And we shared a piece of strawberry cheesecake for dessert…

I ate all the strawberries and whipped cream. Genifer ate the actual cheesecake.

Other than our errands, we didn’t do much else today. We walked the dogs and watched the Lakers-Celtics MLK Day NBA game and that was about it. 😀🐔❤️

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Today, we remember the legacy of a great man. We honor The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr… a man who dared to dream while standing fearlessly in the face of adversity. We celebrate the man who taught us to dream while still loving others…

“We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.”

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.”

“Only in the darkness can you see the stars.”

“Everybody can be great … because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
