It’s been getting chiller lately. Gone are the wintery 60Âș days of December. I guess winter is actually starting to settle in for a while. I can always tell it’s cold outside just by looking out my window at work and watching the steam rise off the roofs from the buildings across the way…
And to think we just had our windows cleaned at work a couple months ago.

Back to the grind. The tower crane was back to doing tower crane things…
Donald Deskey was all bundled up because it’s cold outside, and the heat wasn’t working on the first floor this morning. And that means, it’s cold inside too.

And last night must have been the final night of the green tiara atop the Great American Tower for this holiday season…
Because on our Oscar walk this evening, the tiara was glowing white again.

Winter wonderland?
We were supposed to get our first snowstorm overnight. Last night before falling asleep, Genifer said she saw it snowing. When we woke up this morning, we had snow.
Just not very much of it. At all…
This was the most accumulation I could find on our walk this morning…
So much for our first snow storm. But it sure is cold. Brrr.

Fantasy Football Champion!
I won the championship in one of the Fantasy Football leagues I was in this season…
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the league I was in at work with decent money on the line. Oh well. I guess you can’t win that every year. It’s still a Fantasy Football championship two years in a row!
I had eight teams in various fantasy leagues this season. I won one championship and had one runner-up. Two third-place finishes, a fourth, two fifths and an appalling seventh-place finish at work rounded out the season. All the leagues were either 10 or 12 team competitions. The injuries to Jamal Charles, Arian Foster, Julian Edelman, Alshon Jeffery and a pretty subpar season by Matt Ryan really did me it at work. Ugh. And ugh. But championships or not, fantasy football actually makes the NFL season interesting to me and more entertaining for me, and I think that’s what it’s all about. But winning championships doesn’t hurt either. đ

Christmas carnage, part 1.
The holidays are just barely over, and people have already started discarding their Christmas trees like yesterday’s news. Welcomed into your home, decorated, adored, celebrated and then kicked to the curb. It’s kind of sad really. When we were on our dog walk this morning, we noticed the first trees out by the recycling bins on the New Street sidewalk…
And there was another one added to collection this evening…
Poor Christmas trees. đŠ

Pause for paws.
This morning Oscar was reflecting perfectly my mood this Sunday morning by being quite the little sleepy head…
And when we laid down to go to sleep at night, Oscar climbed right up on one of the pillows next to me, and slept there next to my head with his head on my shoulder for most of the night…
He’s a pretty silly but very cute little dog. And it was another lazy Sunday. đ
