Fourth of July fireworks.
People a couple streets over from us were setting off fireworks most of the evening. Like really legit fireworks. It was pretty much a full blown Rozzi’s Reds Friday Night Fireworks display just spread out over a much longer amount of time. I think they were shooting off fireworks for around two hours. We enjoyed the show right from the comfort of our front porch…
And then they set off their grand finale…
Very impressive. Afterwards our street was filled with smoke…
It was a pretty spectacular end to an amazing first weekend in Northside. 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.
When we were out and about running errands this afternoon, we purchased a little charcoal grill for our backyard. And it was the first thing I started assembling just as soon we got home…
As soon as it was all put together, it had burgers and hot dogs on it…
It’s pretty awesome that the first meal we cooked at our new house was on the grill…
You really can’t beat food off the grill. 🙂

Moving day!
Our movers came this morning to pack up all our stuff. We used Two Men and a Truck. It was pretty crazy just how fast the loaded up all of our stuff…
It looked like so much stuff when it was all in our apartment…
Home sweet home. 🙂 Now the unpacking begins.

We closed on our house this evening!
And after signing and initialing a whole big, huge stack of papers, we finally got the keys to our new house…

This just in… Our loan has been approved! This is actually happening…
We’ll close sometime the beginning of next week! This is so exciting! It’s still hard to believe that very soon we’ll be living in this amazing house. Northside, here we come!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
We had our inspection this evening for the house we’re looking to buy in Northside. It went pretty well. Afterwards, we went over to Urban Artifact in Northside for a rather untraditional Cinco de Mayo beer….
We had a couple of their Key Punch key lime gose sours. They were pretty amazing…
When we got home, we thought about going over to nada for their Cinco de nada celebration. But it started to sprinkle. So we just called it a night. We had been to nada’s Cinco de nada celebration in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010. So we felt pretty okay missing this year’s festivities. Taken with Instagram. 🙂
