All in on the KBO.

I’ve really gone all in on the Korean Baseball games they’ve been playing on ESPN. Not having MLB baseball, or really sports in general, has been pretty annoying. And Korean Baseball is definitely filling the void. It’s been super fun to watch and learn about a new league that I’ve never been exposed to before.

The KBO games start ridiculously early, what with coming live from Korea and all. I set our YouTubeTV to record all of them. And then I listen to them while I’m working during the day. The KBO baseball has been pretty entertaining. The games are competitive. It’s been compared to a triple-A league here in the States. And for the most part, the games aren’t lacking in offense. There’s a lot of scoring. Because there is a lack of dominant, overpowering pitchers in the KBO.

I decided pretty early on that my KBO team would be the Doosan Bears from Seoul. I flirted briefly with making my team the NC Dinos. But I decided to go with the Bears because I love bears just a little bit more than I love dinosaurs. But it was really close.

I even ordered a Doosan Bears ballcap all the way from Korean…

If you haven’t been watching, the games are being played in empty stadiums because of the COVD-19 pandemic. In this morning’s KBO game live from Daejeon Hanbat Baseball Stadium, home of the Hanwha Eagles, every seat behind home plate was filled with donated stuffed animals

How awesome is that? The commentators said that the animals would all be donated to children’s charities. The more I watch the KBO, the more I like it. It’s the baseball we know and love with a uniquely Asian twist. And it’s pretty entertaining.

ESPN said they’ll be showing the rest of this season in its entirety, including the playoffs. I hope that the are more seasons of Korean baseball after this one. It’s darn pretty fun. And it’s great to have some baseball back in our lives. ๐Ÿ˜€โšพ๏ธ๐Ÿปโค๏ธ

Timehopping.

Four years ago today, we closed on our house…

And that began the dreaded packing…

Also five years ago today, our 2015 MLB All-Star Game tickets arrived in the mail…

Who knew June 17th would turn out to be such a great day? ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฆ•๐Ÿกโšพ๏ธ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธโค๏ธ

Another Tuesday.

Good morning from Northside…

We walked to get Sidewinder coffee this morning. They’ve made some progress on the Schaeperโ€™s Pharmacy mural at the corner Hamilton and Chase Avenuesโ€ฆ

And there was another mural around the corner on Chase Avenue…

Mmmm, Sidewinder Coffee…

Sidewinder coffee is so good…

On our way home, we saw more sidewalk chalk art

We walked back home and got all our work done. Later, Genifer made orange chicken for dinner and it was delicious…

Good evening from Northside…

It was another pretty good but relatively uneventful Tuesday. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿฅกโค๏ธ

Itโ€™s whatโ€™s for dinner.

We hadย another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. This one was Asiago Turkey Meatballs with tomato basil couscousโ€ฆ

I don’t know that I’ve had couscous before. But it was awesome. And now I definitely want to have it again. Maybe it was because the couscous was covered in this really incredible pesto. And the roasted tomatoes in the couscous were just delicious as well. The meatballs were really good too. But that couscous was the star of the show. It was another really delicious dinner.

We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅกโค๏ธ

Good morning from Northside.

It’s the start of another week working from home…

Another great Sunday.

This morning Genifer made these delicious homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast…

What a really incredible way to start a Sunday morning in Northside.

Oh. And good morning from Northside…

It was a bit overcast to start the day.

Genifer also made these fudge brownies…

Later, we drove out to Liberty Township to spend the afternoon with Geri, Cleve, Alyssa, and Pippa. And we ate these amazing massive steaks…

It was pretty funny. Everyone made the same joke that these giant steaks looked like something straight out of the closing theme from the Flintstones Bronto Burgers and Ribs that tipped over their car…

It was a great afternoon hanging out in Liberty Township and the steaks were pretty dang incredible. When we got home, we took the dogs around the block…

Good evening from Northside. It was a great Sunday. And a great weekend. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿฅฉโค๏ธ

We hung out with people!

Good morning from Northside…

This afternoon we went to a BBQ birthday party over in Pleasant Ridge…

It was a birthday party for our friends. And there were about 15 people there…

We hung out all afternoon and then came home. Good evening from Northside…

It was pretty terrific to hang out with people again. A little odd after all this time but still pretty terrific. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽˆโค๏ธ
