NYPD + MNUFC.

Good morning from Northside…

I’ve been having hot chocolate almost every morning. Most of the time, it’s in one of our #TeamFiona mugs…

Once I had my cocoa, it was time for day three of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

The Lego City Advent Calendar has been pretty cool so far.

Good evening from Northside…

And tonight, we had an NYPD Pizza party!

It’s been a minute since we’ve had an NYPD Pizza party…

We ordered cheese garlic bread but they gave us an order of Nightsticks instead and they were really good…

And then we had to get upstairs…

Because tonight was the second round of the MLS Cup Playoffs. My Minnesota United was playing away to Sporting Kansas City, the top-seed in the Western Conference…

United scored three goals in twelve minutes, and knocked Sporting out of the MLS Cup playoffs of the MLS Cup Playoffs…

Minnesota United will play Seattle Sounders on Monday in the Western Conference finals…

What a match! It was an amazing end to a terrific day. But any day that includes an NYPD Pizza party and a MNUFC Loons win is a really good day on our blog. 😀🌄☕️🍕⚽️🏆❤️

It looks a lot like Christmas.

When I got to work this morning, the lobby of 302 West Third was beautifully decorated for the holidays…

Later, I ran out to get something for lunch and stopped to admire the tree in the atrium at the Westin Hotel across from Fountain Square…

And the tree in Carew Tower…

I was walking in what was left of downtown Cincinnati’s Skywalk and noticed that the escalators in Carew Tower that were always broken had been replaced with stairs…

And the Hyatt Regency had a pretty tree too…

On my way to the bus after work, I stopped to admire the holiday window display at Bromwell’s on Fourth Street…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Cincinnati. 😀🎄🎅❤️

Cyclones hockey game #5!

We walked down to US Bank Arena to watch Cyclones take on the Utah Grizzlies…

At the end of regulation, the game was knotted at three all…

EXTRA HOCKEY!

And at the end of overtime, it was still tied. SHOOT-OUTS!

And the Grizzlies won in the shoot-out…

Ugh. Really exciting game though!

Mexican+Bowling=Brilliance.

Tonight, we went with Cleve and Alyssa to the westside to check out a Mexican
Restaurant called Cancun that is attached to a bowling alley. Wait… what?

I ordered up a ground beef Chimichanga…

Holy geez. After dinner we were stuffed. Deliciousness. And now for some bowling.

The first game was just a warm-up game. My fat little fingers kept sticking in the ball
and as a result, I bowled a craptastically whopping 70…

And all of a sudden, the lights went out and it was time for disco bowling…

My result wasn’t much better with a 96. But Genifer broke the century mark with her 103.

It was a fun night. Good food, good fun, good times. Even Genifer and I agreed that
we both bowled better when we went to the bowling on the Levee.
