It’s a sign.

Rooted Juicery and Kitchen.

We had lunch catered in from Rooted Juicery and Kitchen in Oakley. Rooted aims to provide their customers the most delicious and health-packed plant based foods possible. I ordered the burrito wrap. It was brown rice, Mexican beans, pickled onions, guacamole, pico, romaine, cabbage, walnut “taco” meat, cashew cheese & bbq sauce…

It was surprisingly good for being entirely plant-based. It would have been outstanding with some chicken or real taco meat. But I guess that’s not really their thing. I also had a blissful blend drink…

The drink was outstanding. I could drink a couple of those everyday. It’s good to try different things every now and then. Especially when it’s free. 🙂

Good evening.

Good evening from downtown Cincinnati. 🙂

A very busy Friday.

We were so busy at work today that they brought in Donato’s pizza for lunch…

Donatos pizza makes for a really good lunch, especially when it’s a free Donatos pizza lunch. And a smiley face cookie fromServatii Pastry Shop helped get me through the rest of the afternoon…

But everything got done and got done very well. It was a pretty good but very, very  busy Friday. 🙂

Woods Hardware.

When I was assembling some of our new items from Ikea, I broke off a screw in a nut…

I walked over to Acme Lock and Hardware on Main Street to get a new screw and nut…

Only to find out that Acme hardware had closed and moved over to Ninth Street…

Just around the corner…

According to DowntownCincinnati.com, the family-owned, full-service hardware store has expanded to 8,000 square feet and now offer tools, paint, home goods and they even have a garden center…

And they have all sorts of pet supplies!

Whoa! They have everything! Where was this place when we were living downtown?

They had the replacement parts I needed, no problem. Woods Hardware is going to be an amazing resource to have just the corner from work. It’s such a welcome and wonderful addition to downtown’s Central Business District. 🙂

Fusian sushi.

After work, I stopped to get us some carry-out sushi from Fusian on Sixth Street

Then I hopped on the Metro 17 bus with our big bag of sushi and headed for home…

We shared a California roll, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and a pb&j roll…

Fusian’s sushi is such outstanding, delicious stuff!  We’re going to have to do this much more often! 🙂

Thunderstorms.

It really started pouring late this afternoon. I was tinkering with Polaroid CUBE and took a little timelapse movie of it raining from my window at work…

🙂

Dixie Terminal.

Every Monday morning at work, we have our weekly status meeting. And every week, a randomly chosen handful of us are given a task to accomplish that week. Sometimes, it’s a group lunch or outing. Sometimes, it’s having to find an item or landmark around downtown. This week a group of us had to walk down to Dixie Terminal at Walnut and Fourth Streets and take a selfie in the long, street-level arcade with its jaw-droppingly gorgeous ornate ceiling…

The Dixie Terminal building was completed in 1921 and served as a streetcar terminal, stock exchange and office building in the Central Business District. The terminal was used for bus service after streetcar service ceased in the 1950s. The Cincinnati Stock Exchange closed its physical trading floor in 1976 after becoming an electronic stock trading exchange but remained in the building until relocating from Cincinnati to Chicago in 1995 and became the National Stock Exchange. Today, the building is home to Great American Insurance among other companies. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #5.

Tonight, we went to our fifth Cyclones hockey game of the season

LET’S PLAY HOCKEY!

It was FC Cincinnati night at tonight’s Cyclones game. So we were all decked out in some of FC Cincinnati cold weather gear…

At the end of the first period, the Quad City Mallards had a 1-0 lead over the Cyclones…

Goal Cyclones!

At the end of two, it was all tied at one…

3-1 CYCLONES!

And photo made the big board again for the third straight game

And this one belongs to the Cyclones, 3-2

Cyclones are always so much fun, especially when they win! 🙂
