Northside Farmers Market.
As the weather starts to grow colder and the days get shorter, the Northside Farmers Market moved inside from Hoffner Park up Hamilton Avenue to the North Church…
Because I had to get my Shadeau Breads pecan rolls…
It’s the same great Northside Farmers Market with a new winter location that’s now even closer to home. 🙂

Cyclones season tickets.
Genifer got us another 12-game pack of tickets to our Cincinnati Cyclones. And this afternoon, I walked down to US Bank Arena to pick up our hockey tickets…
They were busy getting ready for Carrie Underwood and Disney on Ice at US Bank Arena…
I sure hope the ‘Clones can add to their banner collection again this season…

Constructing Cincinnati.
The new parking garage and apartments on Sycamore between Seventh and Eighth Streets continue to rise higher and higher into the sky…
I forgot to walk over and see how the new Holiday Inn was looking over on Broadway Street. But the new hotel in The Banks has really been making a good deal of progress…
And the cutting-edge architectural wonder that was everybody’s least favorite parking garage on Fourth Street…
Now looks like this…
There’s always something new going up or coming down in downtown Cincinnati. 🙂

Another trip to Ikea.
We made another pilgrimage out to Ikea in West Chester this afternoon to get some more innovative Swedish home solutions and furnishings for our house…
And now I have some more projects to complete. I’ll post photos of the new additions to our home just as soon as I get them built. 🙂

Old West Festival.
A few months back, I bought a Groupon for discounted tickets to Old West Festival. We’ve been wanting to check it out for a couple of years now. Our Groupon was about to expire tomorrow. So today, we finally got to experience Old West Festival. It’s located all the way out in Williamsburg on the east side of Cincinnati. But it was a pretty easy drive and we were there before we knew it…
Our Groupon was for a Sheriff Admission, which came with these Old West Festival souvenir mugs…
It was a really fun afternoon. We wandered around in and out of all the little shops, listened to some of the bands, watched a couple of the shows and ate some tacos and quesadillas from Three Amigos Cantina. It was just a really good time. I’m really glad we finally made it out to Old West Festival. 🙂

Obscure Cincinnati.
I saw this poster today for Obscure Cincinnati in downtown Cincinnati…
Obscure Cincinnati is an interactive art project by J. Miles Wolf. Over 40 photographs can be viewed along a four-block route in Downtown Cincinnati.
Large-scale photographs fill the windows and doorways of nine buildings in Downtown Cincinnati as part of the biennial FotoFocus exhibition program. Every photograph is visible from the street 24/7, and many are also visible while riding the
streetcarConnector.This public exhibit can be seen from the sidewalks within a short walking route starting at the CAC. Obscure Cincinnati is interactive; use the QR codes to unlock additional clues and photographs, then read some history behind each photo or the photographic technique used to capture each image. Viewers are encouraged to guess where each photograph was taken by playing the Obscure Cincinnati game.
Pretty neat stuff. I’ll have to walk the route to see the all photos and play the game really soon to see how well I know Cincinnati. 🙂

A house at the end of our street has a new Little Free Library in their front yard…
