Look up in the sky.

I took this photo with my Instagram on my way home from a cold, snowy and grey downtown this evening…

Later, I ran the same photo through some filters and made some adjustments in Flickr, and actually like this result better…

By the time I got home to Northside, the sun was out. And the sky was really pretty from our backyard…

So I guess, a ‘good evening from Northside’ is also in order. 😀☁️⛅️📷❤️

Pause for paws.

Oscar was wearing one of my scarves this morning…

Meanwhile, Mack was crashed out in our guest bedroom…

That is all. 😀🐶🐾❤️

What the what?! There just aren’t words. 😀🖼️🖌️🎨🚗❤️

Good morning from Northside.

Here’s what it actually looked like this morning from our third-floor bedroom window…

And here’s what it looked like in my head, knowing that I was going to run it through a couple of filters and make a bunch of adjustments in Flickr…

Good morning from Northside on the last Friday morning before we spring forward with Daylight Savings Time late on Saturday night. 😀🌄❤️

There were some really pretty clouds this evening when we were out walking Oscar…

Physical therapy x Higher Gravity.

I had my first session of physical therapy for my hip this evening…

It went pretty good. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. But then again, nothing about this entire hip replacement process has been as bad as I thought it would be. Not even close. At all. I thought every step of this process was going to be far more grueling and painful than it’s actually turned out to be. So in my mind, I either really overexaggerated how horrible an experience I thought this would be and braced for the worst possible scenario at each and every step of this process, or this has been a study in the best possible case scenario for a complete hip replacement. At the end of June, I’ll be having my left hip replaced. It’ll be interesting to see how that experience compares to this experience. I hope it’s very much the same, an identical experience or an even better experience than what I am working through right now. Because this really hasn’t been that bad at all.

Anyway. After my first physical therapy session, we stopped at Higher Gravity for a beer. We hadn’t been to HG for almost three weeks. The last time we were there was to watch Xavier knock off Georgetown in OT back at the beginning of February…

We stopped in tonight because we wanted to try #11, the Hawaiian Speedway Stout

And it was awesome! It was also awesome to be able to get out of the house and do something again…

Only 10 more physical therapies to go! 😀🍻❤️

#Boxcraft.

When did Amazon start putting really cool panda masks on the flaps of their boxes?

Genifer took this photo today. Our car said it was 81º outside this afternoon…

I don’t know that it was that warm outside today. But it was definitely in the mid-70s. And whatever the temperature actually was, it was definitely way warmer than it should have been for a day in the middle of February. And we liked it. A lot. 😀🌡️❤️

Good morning from Northside.
