Turns out, the community shield is delicious with plenty of syrup and a big helping of scrambled eggs! 😀⚽️🏆🥞❤️

Easing into the weekend.
I switched my Summer Hours with a coworker today so she didn’t have to use a half vacation day. So we didn’t get to go on any adventures. But we will next week. This evening we just ordered a large cheese pizza from NYPD Pizza...
And it was amazing. I had forgotten just how good a plain cheese pizza could be. We also got some delicious NYPD popcorn chicken as well…
Such good stuff. Afterwards, we watched some of the Reds game and a couple of pretty bad movies on Netflix. It was a really nice, low-key relaxing Friday. 😀🍕🐔🎬❤️

It’s what’s for dinner.
Genifer made this Athena’s Lemon Chicken Saute with chickpea salad & tzatziki pre-packaged meal from Kroger Prep+Pared for dinner tonight…
All of the ingredients needed to make the meal were included in the box, and in about 20 minutes we had this amazing lemon chicken with chickpea salad…
It was really delicious stuff! I can’t wait to try some of the other Kroger Prep+Pared meals. 😀🐔❤️

OrderUp: China Food.
There’s a Chinese restaurant in Clifton called China Food. We’ve driven by it a bunch of times but we’ve never actually stopped there to eat. Tonight, we were perusing OrderUp to find something to have delivered for dinner. And much to our surprise on the list of restaurants that will deliver to us, China Food. So we finally got to try us some China Foods…
Genifer ordered Sesame Chicken. And I ordered Empress Chicken…
We got some crab rangoons and fried wontons too. Everything was really outstanding. We may have just found our new go-to Chinese restaurant. At least where delivery is involved. And they gave us about 20 or so fortune cookies…
Fortune cookies for days. China Food is really great stuff. 😀🍜❤️

The laziest Sunday.
We had the laziest Sunday. After the soccer game last night and the big international friendly tomorrow, we just laid around pretty much all day…
We did manage to pull ourselves off the sofa long enough to order more delicious Mexican food from Los Potrillos via OrderUp…
And then it was right back to laying around and watching movies…
It was a pretty wonderful Sunday. 😀🌮🌯📺❤️

Today was National Hot Dog Day! I ate the leftover hot dogs from last night for lunch…
We had a cheese tasting and chat about all things cheese at work this afternoon…
My favorite cheese I sampled was the Tillamook Hot Habanero Jack. But it was cheese,
so they were all pretty dang good. I saw this cool little moped outside of work…
And someone lost their shoes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a pair of lost shoes…
Later in the evening when we were walking Oscar, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky…
We had chicken and broccoli noodles with garlic bread for dinner…
It was sort of like Fettuccine Alfredo. But still really tasty. And then we watched the USMNT take on El Salvador in the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup…
Despite a less than convincing 2-0 USA win, it was still a really good Wednesday.

Three days in a row!
We fired up the grill again tonight! We did. We’ve grilled three days in a row now…
This time it was Cheddarwurst hot dogs and a couple more chicken breasts…
We ate the hot dogs for dinner tonight…
And the chicken breasts are for dinner tomorrow. Genifer mentioned something about fettuccine alfredo with chicken and garlic breads, and that sounds awesome…
But first, we had to down some cheddar dogs with potato salad and chips & dips…
Geez. You just can’t beat stuff off the grill. YUM! 😀🌭🐔🔥❤️

Two days in a row!
For the second day in a row, we fired up the grill! Tonight, we grilled up some steaks and Genifer threw a chicken breast on the grill for her lunch tomorrow…
Just look at that meaty deliciousness!
Genifer made baked potatoes and pasta salad to go with our big juicy steaks. And it was outstanding! You can’t beat meat off the grill. 😀🥩🐔🔥❤️
