Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Today, we honor The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr… a man who dared to dream while standing fearlessly in the face of adversity. We celebrate a man’s life who taught us to dream and while dreaming, still love others…

Today, we remember the legacy of a great man. Thank you Dr. MLK, Jr. 🙂

Playoff Sunday with NYPD.

We ordered some delicious NYPD Pizza for the Cowboys playoff game against the Packers. I got a medium traditional crust with sausage-ham-mushrooms…

Genifer got a personal crispy thin crust with pepperoni and onions…

And we also ordered some of NYPD’s cheesy garlic bread…

Unfortunately, the pizza was the best part of the game. :/

Waffles!

We had chocolate chip waffles for breakfast this morning…

And they were delicious! Taken with Instagram. 🙂

An overcast evening from our backyard in Northside…

Taken with Instagram. 🙂

Thunderstorms.

It really started pouring late this afternoon. I was tinkering with Polaroid CUBE and took a little timelapse movie of it raining from my window at work…

🙂

Dixie Terminal.

Every Monday morning at work, we have our weekly status meeting. And every week, a randomly chosen handful of us are given a task to accomplish that week. Sometimes, it’s a group lunch or outing. Sometimes, it’s having to find an item or landmark around downtown. This week a group of us had to walk down to Dixie Terminal at Walnut and Fourth Streets and take a selfie in the long, street-level arcade with its jaw-droppingly gorgeous ornate ceiling…

The Dixie Terminal building was completed in 1921 and served as a streetcar terminal, stock exchange and office building in the Central Business District. The terminal was used for bus service after streetcar service ceased in the 1950s. The Cincinnati Stock Exchange closed its physical trading floor in 1976 after becoming an electronic stock trading exchange but remained in the building until relocating from Cincinnati to Chicago in 1995 and became the National Stock Exchange. Today, the building is home to Great American Insurance among other companies. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #5.

Tonight, we went to our fifth Cyclones hockey game of the season

LET’S PLAY HOCKEY!

It was FC Cincinnati night at tonight’s Cyclones game. So we were all decked out in some of FC Cincinnati cold weather gear…

At the end of the first period, the Quad City Mallards had a 1-0 lead over the Cyclones…

Goal Cyclones!

At the end of two, it was all tied at one…

3-1 CYCLONES!

And photo made the big board again for the third straight game

And this one belongs to the Cyclones, 3-2

Cyclones are always so much fun, especially when they win! 🙂

Today’s my Twitter birthday!

Today is my Twitter birthday! I’ve been on Twitter for 8 years!

Elvis at Urban Artifact.

We walked down to Urban Artifact this afternoon…

We tried their latest beer, Thoroughbred. It’s a really delicious Bourbon-Barrel-Aged Imperial Amber Lager…

Today was Elvis’ birthday. He would have been 82. And Urban Artifact had a great Elvis impersonator to celebrate the King’s birthday…

It wasn’t the first time we’ve seen an Elvis impersonator at Urban Artifact

Did you know Urban Artifact has started selling two of their beers in cans?

It was another fun afternoon at Urban Artifact. 🙂

Happy birthday, Edgerton!

Today is my nephew’s birthday! Happy birthday, Edgerton!

We love you and we hope you had a very wonderful special day! 🙂
