We have a side yard now!
This morning we woke up early to get over to Lowe’s…
We wanted to get a big drum of stain for our brand new fence. It’s so exciting. After we chose our stain, we headed over to Mad Llama for our Saturday morning coffee…
I bet about half of our runs to Lowe’s and the grocery have just thinly veiled excuses to run across town to get Mad Llama coffee because it is so good…
When we our new fence was installed, we had them move our gate up to the street side of our side door. It gave us a little side yard space that is actually usable now. This afternoon we worked on cleaning up on newly formed little side yard space…
When they ripped up our street to replace the water main, they left a pile of the bricks on the side of our street. It turns those bricks were the original cobblestone bricks from back in the day when Beech Hill was a brick cobblestone street. We grabbed as many of those bricks as we could and stacked them by our air conditioner on the side of our house. We weren’t sure what we were going to be using them for until today. We used them to line the path in our little side yard…

Oven pizza hoagie party.
We were pretty lazy today…

We made a Home Run Inn oven pizza for lunch…
I think Home Run Inn makes on the best frozen pizzas around.
And it turned out to be a pretty nice day…

And we had an NYPD hoagie party for dinner. Again..

Our new backyard fence.
Our big day was finally here! The contractors from Lowe’s showed up early this morning to get to work on replacing our backyard fence…
We scheduled our fence to be replaced all the way back in May. And there was such a backlog that we had to wait until today to get our new fence.
They had the old fence down in no time…
And then they started dropping in the new fence posts…
They built the back section of the fence backwards because of the chain link fence that was right against the property line…
And just like that, they were finished with our fence and it looks amazing. We had the side gate moved up to give us a wonderfully functional side yard space…
We love it! It looks so good and so much better than it used to look. The guys did such an amazing job building it. And we couldn’t be happier. 😀🏡❤️

Look up in the sky.
I saw a news article this morning that said smoke from wildfires in Oregon and California has already made its way to Greater Cincinnati…
The midwest won’t see the orange haze like cities along the west coast, but the
high-altitude smoke could lead to intense sunsets. The National Weather Service in Cleveland on Wednesday said the wildfire smoke in the upper atmosphere had made
it to the Midwest, Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, leading to hazy and “grayish skies.”
I thought I noticed the skies looking a little hazy lately. I noticed it more yesterday morning than today. But I guess the skies this morning looked a little hazy too…

I could notice it more closer to the horizon. It just looked a little muddy.
This evening it was just kind of cloudy and overcast…

We’ll have to keep an eye on the skies and see if it continues to seem hazy. 😀🌄☁️❤️

They got back to work on our basement again today after the long weekend…

For dinner tonight, we had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. This one was Cheddar and Crispy Potato Crusted Chicken with chipotle ranch roasted vegetables…
It was another really delicious dinner. We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot. And that made it a pretty good Tuesday. 😀🌄🐔❤️

Hello there, Pumpkin.
HAPPY LABOR DAY! We’ve had a really great long weekend so far…
Good morning from Northside…
This morning we ran over to the grocery…
And it’s that time of year again. pumpkin spice everything…
And they didn’t have the bear OR the train in the international aisle…
And we had to get our coffee from Mad Llama…
We didn’t get pumpkin spice anything. Genifer got a caramel latte and I got my beloved caramel java whip. Mad Llama’s coffees are so good.
Later, we started clearing all the ivy from our fence…
Our backyard fence is finally getting replaced this week! We’re so excited.
And once we cleared as much of the ivy as we could, it was time to reward ourselves with an NYPD Hoagie party…
NYPD Hoagies are so delicious. And the cheese fries were really good too!
And good evening from Northside…
It was a pretty nice Monday to wrap up the long holiday weekend. 😀🌄❤️

Our street was flooded.
When we taking Mack on a walk this evening, our street was flooded…
I guess the new water main they just recently replaced must have burst…
Good evening from Northside…
By the time we got around the block, Cincinnati Waterworks was already on the scene had already turned off the water and were starting to get the situation under control…
And they were working fixing the problem late into the night. I took these photos just after midnight…
Thank goodness for our sound machine. We didn’t hear a thing. And when we woke up in the morning, this was the only evidence that something unusual happened on our street…
And they must have been bleeding the line or something because this fire hydrant was just gushing out water for most of the morning…
It’s seems like there’s always something interesting happening on our street. 😀🚧💦❤️
