A cold morning in downtown Cincinnati.

On cold mornings, I really love watching the steam rise off of the buildings around downtown Cincinnati from my office window on Eighth Street…

I don’t know. I just find it kind of mesmerizing.

If only we had some sleds…

We seriously need to invest in some sleds for the next time it snows. Just look at this perfectly illuminated sledding hill at the end of our street…

Can you say late-night sledding? It would be so much fun! 😀❄️🛷❤️

Looking out the window in our office that overlooks our little backyard…

Northside nubs.

There were a bunch of people out sledding on the hill at the end of our street…

We need to get some sleds for the next time it snows because it looked like a bunch of fun. Later, we went down to Higher Gravity to watch the Eagles take on the Falcons. And then we got just home in time to watch the Patriots thump the Titans. It was a pretty low-key day but another pretty fun Saturday in Northside. 😀🛷🏈🍺❤️

Winter wonderland.

We had a winter weather advisory today and I decided to work from home…

It started really snowing around 3pm. It made our backyard look really pretty…

Later, we took Oscar out for a walk around the end of our street…

It was a winter wonderland out there. It made for a very pretty evening…

Winter wonderland.

We got some more snow overnight…

And I got to shovel our sidewalk for the very first time…

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. 😀❄️❤️

Our first snow.

We received our first dusting of snow today, and this evening we took Oscar out for a walk in the cold white stuff…

Brr. 😀❄️❤️

A cold & snowy day.

It was a cold and snowy day in Cincinnati. We were supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow. That didn’t quite happen, but we still got a pretty nice dusting of the cold, white stuff…

Walking to catch the bus was pretty chilly…

So was walking from the bus stop downtown to work…

I could have sat in my office and just watched it snow all day long

Brr. 🙂

O Christmas tree.

We went and picked out our first full-sized Christmas tree this afternoon…

We managed to slide our tree in the trunk of our car instead of tying it to the roof. That was a pretty dumb idea because now there’s a bunch of pine needles in our trunk…

Our tree looked a lot bigger at the store…

It looked like Chrismas exploded on our dining room table…

Once it was all decorated, it was a very pretty little tree…

Next year, we’re going to get a bigger tree. And try to find someone that delivers. 🙂

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

On our way across downtown to Redsfest, we stopped to admire some of the spectacular holiday trees around downtown. This beautiful tree was in the atrium of The Westin on Fifth Street…

And of course, they chopped down yet another beautiful, huge old pine tree to stand on the Square for the next month before being discarded… :/

I don’t know why the one on the Square really bothers me. And there was this beautiful tree in Carew Tower…

Downtown sure is beginning to look festive. 🙂
