Pause for paws.

The long holiday weekend is over. And it’s time to get get back to the daily grind…

He’s too cute. Genifer got this photo of the little guy snuggling with his hedgehog…

🙂

Our Memorial Day.

Our Memorial Day… big splash contests in the pool, playing cornhole and eating some delicious BBQ with friends and family…

It was a great Memorial Day! Taken with Instagram. 🙂 #Murica

Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you to all the brave men & women who protect and serve our great country. #USA #Murica #RememberTheFallen

FC Cincinnnati versus Harrisburg City Islanders.

We went to see FC Cincinnati take on Harrisburg City Islanders at Nippert Stadium….

The Bailey unfurled their tifo for today’s match…

MITCH SAYS NO!

GOOOOOAL! Cincinnati! 1-0!

At half, it was still 1-0 to FC|C…

Sprinkles the donut was back again at halftime!

FC|C’s Harrison Delbridge took a pretty vicious elbow to the face

And the guilty Harrisburg player was sent off as a result…

Tonight’s attendance…

16,097! Another really great crowd! And then Cincinnati was awarded a penalty!

GOOOOAL! Cincinnati! 2-0!!

And the match would end 2-0 to FC Cincy!

FC Cincinnati keeper Mitch Hildenbrandt celebrates with The Bailey after every win…

FC|C moves to 6-2-2 on the season. They are now on a seven match streak without a loss. And they went undefeated in the month of May. Going back to the April 24th win at Toronto FC II, they’ve posted a 5-0-2 record and they’ve outscored their opponents 12-5 including two straight league shutouts. In other words, FC Cincinnati is really on a roll right now! On Wednesday, FC|C travels to St. Pete, Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the third round of the US Open Cup. And then they’re back home on Saturday, June 4th to host the Richmond Kickers. See you there! 🙂

The Breakfast of Champions.

This morning we went for breakfast at First Watch…

In other news, waffles are delicious. 🙂

Wing Wednesday.

We love chicken wings so this evening we walked across downtown…

To go check out Wing Wednesday at Americano Burger Bar

We checked out the awesome $5 Americano Burger Tuesdays a little while back…

And could wait to devour some of Americano’s delicious wings. We’ve had their wings with the house rub before and they are some of the best wings around. Every Wednesday, the wings are just a mere 50¢ each. And you have to order them in quantities of six. So for $3, you get a little basket of deliciousness. They come in three flavors hot, BBQ and of course, the house rub…

We order six of the BBQ…

They were outstanding. And we ordered six of the house rub…

We really don’t know which ones we like better. They were both outstanding. But what we do know is that we’ll be back very soon for another Wing Wednesday at Americano Burger Bar. 🙂

Reds baseball game #7.

We went down to the ballpark to take in our seventh Reds game of the season. And it was a perfect afternoon for baseball. Just perfect. And the DirecTV Blimp was hovering high above Cincinnati again

It was the final game of the series between the Reds and the Seattle Mariners. So why wouldn’t there be a big pail of glow-in-the-dark light sabers and T-Rex dinosaur swords outside of GABP for a day game? And no. I did not buy one. I didn’t have any cash.

The DirecTV Blimp was overhead almost the entire game…

I remember when my parents used to take us to Cubs games, one of the free giveaways we got more than once were Cubs painter hats. I hadn’t thought about or seen a baseball painter hat in years. I wonder if our Cubs hats are still at my parents house in Michigan?

The Mariner’s Robinson Cano…

And he ended up on third…

Votto might be struggling right now. But I still get a tingle when he steps to the plate…

The Sunday live Reds mascot race…

This one belongs to Mr. Redlegs. He owned today’s race…

The Reds dropped another one. And ended up getting swept by the Mariners. :/

Oh well. It was a gorgeous day for a baseball game. And we got to see The Gies

Sundays like this are made for watching baseball, win or lose. 🙂
