Pause for paws.

This is Richie, one of the dogs that shows up in the office every now and then…

He freaks me out because most of the time it looks like he doesn’t have any eyes. 😬🐾❤️

Deskey details.

Recently, I was put in charge of Deskey’s Instagram. I’ve been trying to collect photos from around work to use in Instagram posts. I also started my own personal work-related Instagram, @Dsgn_Life to post the other things not relevant enough for the official Deskey Instagram or more personal to my everyday experiences at Deskey…

Recently, Deskey officially became part of downtown Cincinnati’s brand new Eighth Street Design District. And there’s a sign in front of the building to prove it…

The Deskey mantra is on the front windows of the building…

In the foyer is the ongoing Deskey Hand Culture Project. Everyone contributed their own personal tchotchke to be displayed…

This was my contribution. One of the magnets we made for our wedding

Our lobby…

Personal. Simple. True. They are the words we live by at Deskey…

PERSONAL defines everything we do. We’re humans relating to humans, so we seek the shared values that connect us. SIMPLE ideas are memorable, easily spread and can change the world. We distill ideas to the most instinctive form possible. TRUE is being authentic and transparent. Follow your beliefs, embrace your principles, and you’ll attract those who do the same.

And we celebrated a couple of big wins…

The second had really odd ingredients to celebrate a new client from up north…

I’m excited to get to share more about Deskey through Instagram. You can see all the photos I’ve uploaded from Deskey in my Deskey Flickr album. 😀📷❤️

Downtown details.

I ran some errands around downtown this afternoon…

They’re turning the site of the old Dennison Hotel into a super cute little park…

I’m going to have to go back to check it out when they are actually finished with it. But it was more than I expected from this space. I thought it was just going to be more surface parking lot. I was going to ride the streetcar Cincinnati Connector or one of those silly little scooters down to The Banks. But it was so nice outside and I can actually walk again without pain, so I just walked down to Great American Ball Park…

I was getting us some Reds tickets for the final week of their season…

From GABP, I walked down Freedom Way and noted Joella’s Hot Chicken. I’m going to have to come back down to The Banks to check that out for lunch one day…

I continued on to stop to admire the new 150-foot tall SkyStar observation wheel at The Banks. It’s only a temporary addition to downtown. It’s there to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Banks. We’ll have to make sure to ride it before December 2nd…

They were getting The Banks ready for Oktoberfest Zinzinnati…

And then I rode the streetcar back to work. Somebody’s gotta ride it now and then…

And then it was back to work…

It’s fun to take a little bit of time out of your day to run around downtown Cincinnati to see the sites especially the new additions. 😀🏙️❤️

CDW18: AIGA Agency Crawl.

Tonight, Deskey was part of the Cincinnati Design Week 2018 AIGA Agency Crawl

Braxton Brewing Company was kind enough to provide us with a selection of liquid refreshment for the agency crawl…

And then it was show time!

In Deskey’s conference room, there was a collaborative art installation that was serving as a conversation starter about topics that are important to women in the creative community called WomanUp: Talk Back

The tour moved through Deskey’s sixth-floor space…

And down to Deskey’s fifth-floor space…

And I captured this LapseIt time-lapse on our fifth floor. It was a really fun night getting to show off our Deskey workspace. 😀🖥️❤️

Bay Horse Cafe to celebrate 40 years.

This afternoon the office closed a little early to walk down to Bay Horse Cafe

We paused to celebrate our CEO and fearless leader, Doug Studer’s 40th-anniversary of work at Deskey…

Forty years with one company is a very momentous achievement…

SURPRISE!

It was a fun afternoon celebrating an incredible career achievement. And Bay Horse Cafe is a great little place. I can’t wait to head back soon for another beer and maybe grab some lunch from Bay Horse sometime soon. 😀🎂🍻❤️

It was the oddest thing.

The oddest thing that happened to me today. An entire set of pins we made for our wedding guests in Jamaica showed up my mailbox at the office…

Kinda odd, right? Taken with Instagram. #gtfjamaica2016

Seen and noted.

Somehow Minions fruit snacks showed up in the office. I managed to snag one pack for me and one to take home to Genifer…

They were so good. I’m definitely going to have to keep an eye out for those so we can have some more. YUM! 😀👀❤️

Congratulations, Doug!

This week we celebrated the work anniversary of our CEO. He’s been with Deskey for the last 40 years…

Congratulations, Doug! 😀🥂❤️

Thank you, Deskey!

We got this is the mail today from my work…

That was so nice of them. Thank you, Deskey.

Crisis averted.

I thought I had lost my Polaroid CUBE. I hadn’t been able to locate it for about a week. I’m usually very good with my electronicals and every day carry items, and very rarely do I misplace them. But I was really beginning to think my little CUBE was a goner. I inadvertently looked behind my computer monitor at work today and there it was…

I’m a ding dong. I wonder how long it’s been back there? 😀📷❤️
