Back to Great American Ball Park.

It’s hard to believe that we’re in the final week of the 2018 Reds baseball season. It’s also really hard to believe that we only made it out to Great American Ball Park once this season. We’ve watched almost every Reds game on TV. But between my surgeries and all the FC Cincinnati soccer games, we only took in one Reds game all the way back at the beginning of the season. Tonight, our Redlegs were playing the Kansas City Royals and we actually managed to get down to the ballpark to take in our second Reds game of the season…

This was our first time passing through a metal detector since I’ve had both of my hips replaced. When we were at the Reds back in April, I had only one replaced hip. And it didn’t set off the metal detector. But both hips set the metal detector right off. Twice. I had to explain that I had both hips replaced and then get wanded. So there’s something to look forward to for the rest of my life. It was great to finally be back at GABP…

We headed up to the new Budweiser bowtie deck…

BARGE!

We headed over to our seat in the Fioptics District to chase the last rays of sun…

I wonder how many free pizzas LaRosa’s gave away this season when the Reds pitchers tallied 11 strikeouts in a game. I’m guessing not that many…

We walked over to the gap…

I love Reds game where you feel like you have GABP all to yourself…

And then we moved down to the lower deck down the third base line…

The Reds lost. But it was great to finally be back at GABP again. It’s still one of my very favorite places in the whole world. When we were walking back to the car, check out how gorgeous the moon was above Lytle Park…

Goodnight moon.

There was a really big moon this evening. It was almost as bright as the streetlight…

Total lunar eclipse.

The longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century occurred this evening…

The moon was huge this evening. And it was pretty neat.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒšโค๏ธ

An almost supermoon.

There was an almost supermoon this evening. It was a 98.7% full moon. It’ll be a full-fledged full supermoon tomorrow night but it’s been so rainy lately that I don’t know that we’ll actually be able to see it tomorrow. And it’ll be the last supermoon until 2020 so here’s an almost supermoon…

Super blue blood moon.

I woke up at extra early this morning to try to catch a peek of the super blue blood moon. But I think I might have got up too early to see the specialness. I guess it didn’t matter all that much. The view of the moon from our bedroom window was pretty obstructed by the trees in our backyard. But it was a still a really big, bright beautiful moon…

When I got up at the normal time to get ready for work, the moon had moved out of view from our bedroom window. So I guess we missed seeing theย super blue blood moon. But the photos I saw of it online looked pretty spectacular.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ‘โค๏ธ

Hello, Super Moon.

When I was walking home from the bus stop, the moon was already super huge…

Iโ€™m really excited about tomorrow morning’sย super blue blood moon.ย I hope we have a decent view of it.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ•โค๏ธ
