Almost every Thursday on our way home from work, we stop at Queen City Radio for a beer and one of their amazing Whip Classic burgers. This week we couldn’t wait and decided to stop at QCR on a rainy Wednesday…
I’ve also been really liking their cheese coney lately. I think their Whip Classic is one of the absolute best burgers in all of Cincinnati. 😀🍔🍟🌭❤️

On our way home tonight, we stopped at the Sam Adams taproom for happy hour…
And we noticed that the Mexi-Q Mexican BBQ food truck was out on Sam Adams patio tonight. We’ve never tried anything from Mexi-Q food truck before. Mexican meets BBQ? I had a feeling that this was going to be awesome…
Genifer ordered a Veggie Burrito Bowl…
And I ordered the Spicy Mexican Mac…
It was really good! You can’t beat delicious food stuffs from a food truck that you’ve never had the chance to try before. Especially when it’s Mexican and BBQ, two of my very favorite food groups. 😀🍺🌯❤️

We got up this morning, walked the dogs and then hopped on our Metro 17 bus to head down into Over-the-Rhine. Today was the first spring edition of The City Flea in OtR’s beautiful Washington Park…
Thornwoods! I used to work with Ben at Deskey. He and his wife started this pop-up and their stuff is really awesome!
I also love all the creatures from Happy Groundhog Studios…
I also used to work with James Billiter at LPK, who does some terrific stuff as well…
It was another great edition of The City Flea. Afterward, we headed over to get a drink from one of Genifer’s favorite OtR spots, Sundry and Vice.
And today, S&V had homemade empanadas…
DANG! I love empanadas so much!
Genifer loves Sundry and Vice’s draft Old Fashioned…
Next, we walked up Vine Street and were drawn in by this sign in front of panino…
We’ll have to stop back at panino for sammiches. I’ve heard nothing but good things.
It seems like there is always something “coming soon” in OtR…
And then we walked over to Mecca…
And we had one of their Chunkers…
And some popcorn…
And then we hopped in an Uber and headed back home. It was a really fun afternoon wandering around Over-the-Rhine. 😀🛍️🥃🍿❤️

This afternoon the creative team at Grey Midwest had an outing to go try our hand at some axe throwing over at Flying Axes in Covington…
It was a bit daunting at first with axe in hand staring down the bullseye…
But once you figured out the motion and the distance, it was really a lot of fun...
I even managed to splinter my axe…
Who knew that axe throwing would be such a really good time? I think it would be pretty fun to get a group together to join the axe throwing league night…
Please exit through the gift shop…
Afterward, we walked over for a drink at Braxton…
And then I caught an Uber home. It was a really fun evening, and I got to know some of my new coworkers a little bit better. 😀🧿🍺❤️

We saw that today 3 Points Urban Brewery was doing another Pop Up Power Hour…
3-Points has some really good beers…
And we got to order some more delicious CHX…
And boom! Minutes later, we had lotsa food…
I ordered another 4-piece banty with hush puppies…
Genifer got their mac&cheese…
We also had a bag of wavy fries and a bag of extra hush puppies. I love hush puppies. And we love when 3 Points does their Pop-Up Power Hours. Great beers at cheap prices and some of the most incredible chicken with hush puppies? Dang. What’s not to love about that? 😀🍺🐔🤫🐶❤️

Today was Urban Artifact’s 4th birthday party…
We tried the two Kaleidoscope variants, Pineapple Salsa and Pineapple Luau Spice…
They were outstanding! We took our beers and headed upstairs to the sanctuary…
UA had the space filled with a whole bunch of carnival games…

UA also brought in a cotton candy machine. So I had some cotton candy…
And we had our first Keypunch of the season. Keypunch is what summer tastes like to me. It’s one of my all-time favorite beers. I’m excited that it’s Keypunch season…

After work, we stopped by Queen City Radio to celebrate my new job offer…
Celebrating a new job tastes a lot like Whip burgers…
I’ll be accepting the offer tomorrow morning. Thank you to my beautiful wife for helping me think this through. After talking about it, it turned out to be one of the least difficult decisions I’ve had to make. I’m very excited about this opportunity. 😀👍🍺🍔🍟❤️
