It was a really great weekend.

THis morning JJVE headed out on the next leg of their epic road trip…

And Greg and Shannon flew back home to Oakland this evening.

It was really wonderful to spend the weekend with the whole family, to get to see everyone and catch-up but it went by way too fast. We’ll have to do it again very soon. 😀❤️

Sunday Funday.

This afternoon my whole family visited the Cincinnati Zoo…

We were all pretty excited…

We got to see Kendi, the zoo’s baby rhino…

And we got to see Fiona, the zoo’s baby hippo….

It was a great day at the zoo. It’s such an incredible place to spend an afternoon. When we got home from the zoo, we had some beers…

And we celebrated some birthdays. V was turning 5 years old…

Edge got to blow out the candles too…

CUPCAKES!

Shannon got day some beer schnapps and the beer that accompanies it…

We all got to try it…

It was pretty good stuff. And it was another really great day hanging out with everybody! 😀🐯🎂🍻❤️

Northside Saturday.

This morning we had a little bit of living room soccer action…

Before we visited the playgrounds up the hill at Parker Woods Montessori…

We walked down Hamilton Avenue to have a delicious lunch at Melt…

From there we headed across the street to Hoffner Park…

To play on another cool playground…

With swings!

These two like playgrounds, swings and apparently, giant pine cones…

And then we headed over to check out Urban Artifact…

They were right in the middle of their Bewilderfest…

They weren’t doing flights during Bewilderfest so we just got one of each beer…

And we continued our tour of Northside by stopping into Second Place…

We made our way home for some cornhole in the backyard…

And fired up the grill…

We made a bunch of burgers and hotdogs…

We had so much fun wandering around Northside that it wore us out…

What a fun day with the whole family! Tomorrow, we’re going to the zoo! 😀❤️

#TBT Pause for paws.

Milan used to love going on his long walks around downtown…

And he loved going to downtown’s Fido Field dog park to try to race the cars going down Gilbert Avenue just on the other side of the fence…

Always remembering all the good times with the bud dog. 😀🐶❤️

Friday Funday.

My family all came to Cincinnati to visit for the weekend. Shannon and Greg arrived from Oakland after a whirlwind tour of Canadia. JJVE flew in to Cincy to begin an epic week long road trip. And my parents brought down a bunch of delicious Pizza King pizzas from Michigan for us to all enjoy tonight…

It sure was good to see everyone and catch up as they arrived and then stuff our faces full of delicious Pizza King pizzas. 😀🍕🍺❤️

It’s a sign.

Django Western Taco has a sign up in the window of their new location…

We can’t wait until they’re back up and running! Taken with Instagram. 😀🌮❤️

Bonomini Bakery.

This morning we stopped at Bonomini Bakery on Blue Rock Road in Northside…

We’ve never stopped into Bonomini before today. My family is all coming into town this evening, and I wanted to get a bunch of rolls for breakfast. I was thinking about stopping at Holtman’s in OtR. I’m really glad we didn’t. We definitely made the right choice. They had an incredible selection of breakfast rolls and sweet treats…

It’s pretty amazing to find out your neighborhood has been hiding such an incredible bakery from you the entire time we’ve been here! 😀🍩❤️

OrderUp: Los Potrillos.

We had Los Potrillos delivered again from OrderUp…

Sometimes you just need a really good ground beef chimichanga…

YUM! We really enjoy getting Los Potrillos delivered from OrderUp. 😀🌯❤️

FC Cincinnati versus Ottawa Fury.

IT’S FC CINCINNATI MATCH DAY FOURTEEN! FC Cincinnati was taking on Ottawa Fury for the very first time either home or away…

Bearcats football is starting soon. And now we have padded seat cushions and seat backs where we used to just have bleachers. It’s a nice perk for the final three home games of the FC|C season…

And speaking of new additions, look at that beautiful new digital scoreboard…

Here come the supporter’s groups marching into The Bailey…

The Bearcat was in the crowd in The Bailey…

I hope FC Cincinnati decides to build their new stadium in Ohio too…

Or if they just wanted to stay at Nippert Stadium that would be fine too…

O Canada…

O say can you see…

Here we go…

I spent the first few minutes of the match just watching the new videoboard…

That thing is really nice…

GOAL! FC CINCINNATI! Danni Konig put FC|C up 1-0

GOAL!! FC CINCINNATI! Jimmy McLaughlin was sent clear to put FC|C 2-0 up…

FC|C had this incredible defensive sequence just before halftime that denied Ottawa what should have been a clear goal…

And at halftime, it was still FC|C 2 Ottawa Fury 0…

SPRINKLES!

And the second half is underway

GOAL!!! FC CINCINNATI! Sem deWit with his first goal of the season for FC|C

Ottawa Fury pulled a goal back…

There was another crowd of 20,000+ at tonight’s match…

The fourth official indicated a minimum of 5 additional minutes…

And there’s the full-time whistle with the final score 3-1 to FC Cincinnati

It was really good to see FC|C bounce back with a win after a string of difficult results. We’ll see you at FC Cincinnati’s second to last home match on September 2nd against Pittsburgh Riverhoundz. 😀⚽️❤️

Seen and noted.

There’s a new Korean restaurant in downtown Cincinnati called Haru …

I can’t wait to check it out really soon. 😀🍜❤️
