Pause for paws.

Oscar and Mack love hanging out under our dining room table like it’s their special dog fort or something…

And we played in our backyard for a while this evening…

Ugh. Our backyard is just… ugh. But it was still a really fun Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

This afternoon we went across the Ohio River back into Kentuckyย over to Covington to finally check out Libby’s Southern Comfort for brunch

We had one of those Cherrywine Bourbon Slushes that we’ve heard so much about…

And they definitely lived up to the hype…

They were delicious. We shared some goetta hushpuppies…

Genifer had a house salad…

I had their oyster po’ boy…

Behind the bar, they had a whole bunch of really old bourbons…

Including one from the year I was born…

I wanted to ask how much a shot of it was, but didn’t get the chance. I can’t imagine that those were cheap. At all. Libby’s was really good. But it was also a bit on the expensive side for brunch. I’m glad we got to try it but I don’t think we’ll be rushing right back until I get a bonus or something.

After we were finished eating, we walked around the corner to Braxton Brewing

Last night was the grand opening of Braxton’s new rooftop patio…

The elevator wasn’t working so we had to take the stairs…

We were getting our steps today, that’s for sure…

Their rooftop patio os beautiful and so big with some great views…

I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo of downtown Cincinnati for up here. But oh well…
what are you going to do? Guess we’ll have to get one next time.

It’s always fun to check out other neighborhoods. We #LOVEtheCOV but we’re sticking with our Northside.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅƒ๐Ÿบโค๏ธ
