Northside Sunday.

This afternoon, we stopped at Melt for a late Brunch…

Afterwards, we stopped by Urban Artifact…

Urban Artifact’s Bewilderfest was Friday and Saturday. We wanted to see what was left on tap from their big celebration. Last year, they had a bunch of crazy beers…

We ordered a flight plus one…

And then we shared The Tumi and Lemon Fennel Salad…

Urban Artifact made three barrel-aged variant bombers for their Bewilderfest: Beipiaosurus Boysenberry Sour, Dimetrodon Raspberry Sour and Stegosaurus Montmorency Cherry Sour…

We didn’t try them. I bet they were all delicious but they were a little on the pricey side. However, they had stickers of all the different dinosaurs from the labels, and they gave us an entire set of them for free…

And after I took the photo of my new dinosaurs stickers…

It was another fun Sunday in Northside. 😀🍺🦖❤️

Today was a long day.

We did so very little this evening it wasn’t even funny. We made little-frozen pizzas in the oven and headed off to bed…

It wasn’t the brightest idea to go back to work the day after getting back from Michigan. We were both pretty tired and it made for a really long day. But I had forgotten how delicious those little-frozen pizzas were. I think I lived on those little $1 pizzas all through college. 😀🍕❤️

Chicago Gyros & Dogs.

We had Chicago Gyros & Dogs delivered to us via UberEats tonight. It’s become our go-to place for ordering delivery that isn’t pizza. Genifer ordered a Greek salad…

And I ordered this incredible little sack of corn dogs…

I love corn dogs. I love corn dogs so much. And we live in a truly wonderful world where people will deliver corn dogs right to your front door whenever you’d like.

Is this heaven? No. It’s Cincinnati. 😀😍❤️

FC Cincinnati versus Penn FC.

IT’S FC CINCINNATI MATCH DAY THIRTEEN!

Right off the bat, we didn’t go to the match tonight. We thought a match at 6pm on a Sunday was just a bit too late for us and we didn’t want to be dragging for the rest of the week. So we just stayed home and watched the match on TV. FC|C ended up winning the match 1-0 on a Manu Ledesma free-kick that took a wicked deflection off the wall…

The win extended FC Cincy’s unbeaten run to 12 in a row. And put them 5 points clear at the top of the standings in the USL’s Eastern Conference. And that’s cool and all, but I probably wouldn’t have even done a blog post about this match if it wasn’t for a really wonderful video that aired at halftime on TV. The segment had the three remaining original players from the first season talking about their experiences with the club over the last three years. It was awesome. And I don’t know if I would have ever seen it if we had actually gone to tonight’s match…

Happy birthday, Higher Gravity!

When we were out running around yesterday, I stopped at Kroger a got a little sheet cake because today is Higher Gravity’s one-year anniversary! Happy birthday, HG!

It seems like just yesterday that we were checking out Higher Gravity for the very first time. Over the last year, Higher Gravity has become one of our top two favorite places to hang out in Northside. (The other one is Second Place.) HG always has interesting and delicious beers on tap and in stock. We’ve tried a bunch of great beers there. And we’ve also made a bunch of great friends there on the last year. Cheer, guys! Here’s to many more years to come!
