It’s a sign.

For Crafty Supermarket! It’s just around the corner…

Last year’s Crafty Supermarket was held at University of Cincinnati’s Campus Rec Center while Music Hall was undergoing all its renovations, and we found a bunch of really great stuff there. I can’t wait to see what they have at this year’s market. 😀🎁❤️

Northside’s Blue Jay.

After watching some soccer this morning, we walked to get lunch for the very first time from the Blue Jay! It’s been a Northside staple for the last sixty years…

It’s kinda hard to believe it’s taken us over a year to eat here for the first time. But I think I know why. The Blue Jay is open Monday through Saturday until 3pm. And we just don’t move very fast on most Saturdays…

The inside is an awesome throwback to a bygone era…

It was lunchtime. And we both went for burgers…

And they were awesome! Nothing fancy, just a really solid burger. Last year, Blue Jay closed for a day so it could serve as a movie set. Come to find out that the movie is The Killing of a Sacred Deer which is in theatres now and stars Colin Farrel, Nicole Kidman and Alicia Silverstone.

We’ve already started plotting what we’re going to order on our next visit. Depending on what time we roll in, it’s either going to be pancakes and omelets or we’re going to give their Cincinnati chili a try with some cheese coneys and three-ways. What a terrific place! 😀🐦🎥❤️

Goodnight moon.

Every night when we’re out walking Oscar, we always gaze at the moon. And tonight, there was a really big, bright 99.7% full moon…

I’ve been borderline obsessed with watching the moon ever since I downloaded this moon app from the Google Play store. It illustrates the phase of the moon with a picture right on my home screen. Clicking on the app tells me what percentage of the moon is visible, when the next full moon will take place and the best part is, it’s ad-free! It’s a neat little app that helps me always feel well informed about the moon. 😀🌕🌝❤️

NYPD & Chill.

Tonight, we just ordered some NYPD Pizza and started watching the second season of Stranger Things on Netflix…

It was the perfect Friday night! 😀🍕📺❤️

Higher Gravity: Meet the Brewery.

It was an overcast and gloomy evening but that didn’t stop us from meeting after work at Higher Gravity for another Meet the Brewery

Tonight’s brewery was Platform Beer Company from Cleveland…

Higher Gravity had three Platform beers on tap to try. We sampled Platform’s IPA called Paranormal Hoptivity, The Peach Project and Yammy Yammy. They were all really good. The Yammy Yammy was my favorite. They have a taproom in Cleveland as well as Columbus. And they were saying that they would like to open a taproom in Cincinnati. So we’ll have to keep an eye out for that. The fourth beer in our flight was Moozie from Brink Brewing Company just up Hamilton Avenue from us. Also, very good. On the way home, we saw these Halloween Elmo’s in a window…

It was another fun evening of sampling some new beers in Northside. 😀🍺🍻⬆️❤️

Goodnight moon.

After trick-or-treating was over, we took Oscar on a walk…

And there was a pretty big Halloween moon over Northside…

Spooky. 😀🌝🌔❤️

Trick-or-treat!

Tonight, we handed out candy to about 95-ish trick-or-treaters. It was down a little bit from last year’s Halloween when we had well over 100 little ghosts and ghouls visit our house. Luckily, we bought a bunch of candy to hand out…

And when we were done, we only had a handful of candy leftover. But don’t worry, we had some extra candy stashed away for us to enjoy afterward. We hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween with got lots of candy! 😀🎃👻🍬❤️

ps. And Oscar didn’t have to wear either one of his Halloween costumes this year.

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made this cheesy buffalo chicken pasta for dinner tonight…

Cheesy, spicy goodness before handing out Halloween candy! 😀🧀🔥🐔❤️

Our VW Jetta GLI.

Yesterday morning, our VW Jetta GLI wouldn’t start. Luckily, we could use Genifer’s mom car to get to work. And wouldn’t you know it, our Jetta started right up when I got home from work. I made an appointment to get it looked at this morning and we dropped it off on our way to work. It needed a new battery. I also had them replace the front tires, rear brakes and got it a 50,000-mile tune-up. And it was all set to be picked up this afternoon. I got to ride a new bus, Metro’s Rt. 4 to go pick up our Jetta right by Xavier’s Cintas Center. It was a piece of cake…

It’s been such a great car. I love it every bit as much now as I did when I first got it almost 9 years ago…

It’s good to have it back. Hopefully, it’ll be good to go for another 50,000 miles! 😀🚘❤️

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween! 😀🎃❤️
