Mr. Fix-It.

The lock on our back door broke this evening. I went to let the dogs out the back door into the yard and the little knob came right off in my hand…

We had to use needle-nosed pliers to get the back door open. Thankfully, we could also use the needle-nosed pliers to get the door to latch again after they came back inside.

UPDATE: I managed to find the exact same lock at Wood’s Hardware downtown and replace the lock and add a deadbolt to our back door. It was surprisingly not that difficult at all. This is now the third lock I’ve replaced in our house. A while back the deadbolt on our front door broke after unlocking it to get into our house when we were coming home one evening. And I replaced that lock with little difficulty as well. I’m becoming quite the master locksmith. Haha. 😀🔐❤️

That’s not good.

This morning as I was putting on my shoes and socks on the little red sofa in our office as we were getting ready for work. As I was getting up from the sofa, my newly replaced left hip moved in a very uncomfortable way like it popped out of socket just for a second and then returned to its original position. It didn’t really hurt. It just felt very, very uncomfortable. When I stood up afterwards, my hip didn’t feel right. There was a kind of sickening sensation like a friction or rubbing feeling from inside my hip that wasn’t there before. And it started making very odd, unsettling creaking noise whenever I moved…

It’s funny how everything can be fine one second and then something as simple as putting on your shoes can really mess up your whole day. 😐🏥❤️

Moving just a little bit slow.

I’m able to get up and move around the house without a lot of problems or discomfort. It just takes me a little while to get anywhere…

Mack was waiting for me to finally make it all the way upstairs so we could watch the soccer matches together. All things considered, I’m not doing too bad. 😀🐾📺⚽️❤️

We checked the OscarCams to see what Oscar was doing while we were having lunch at Mac’s Pizza Pub before tonight’s FC Cincinnati match. And he was just crashed out on our sofa in the living room…

We got an electric lawnmower.

We bought a lawnmower from Amazon and it arrived today…

We got the Earthwise 14-Inch Mulching Corded Electric Lawn Mower from Amazon along with a new 100 foot extension cord…

It actually did a really nice job of cutting the grass in our backyard. It was much faster than the modified weedwacker I was to using to trim the grass in the backyard. And the best part was, it was free! I used the points I had accumulated from my Amazon Visa and only had to pay for the shipping. Best $12 I’ve ever spent! 😀❤️

Pause for paws.

This evening we were getting our stuff together in anticipation of our big fun Bunbury Music Festival weekend downtown, and Oscar was playing peek-a-boo in his new comforter that Grandma gave him when she was over on Memorial Day…

He’s so silly with that blanket. He loves doing roll-arounds on it, and he loves it when you cover him up and rub him through the blanket. You just have to be really careful with your fingers and toes because he’ll start to play rougher and rougher and has nipped some fingers and toes before. He’s so funny.

I also took these photos of Mack with my Polaroid CUBE…

I made the mistake of setting down my Polaroid CUBE shortly after taking this photo. When I turned away, Mack got hold of it and started chewing it. And that sucks. The bad news is, he chewed it and in doing so cracked the little plastic lens cover on the front of the camera. Good news is it still works. But the bad news is there isn’t any way to really protect the lens now. Better news I found the upgraded Polaroid CUBE super on sale for less than I paid for my original CUBE. And the upgraded CUBE has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and free app that turns your mobile device into a viewfinder and shutter remote that works up to 30 feet away. I’ve been wanting the upgraded CUBE for a while. So good dog, Mack. I’ll just be more mindful of where I set my new CUBE when it arrives. Thankfully that’s the only thing he’s chewed so far. Knock on wood.

I’m really bummed about my old CUBE but super excited for my new CUBE. 😀🐾📷❤️
