Downtown Big Boy.
The corner of downtown I work in is somewhat of a food void. There just isn’t a lot in the southwest corner of downtown’s Central Business District as far as food options go. Even when we lived downtown, we didn’t even go over to that corner of downtown because there isn’t much there. At all. But today, I ventured out to try to find something for lunch. After wandering for a bit, I ended up at the relatively new Frisch’s Big Boy in Carew Tower…
I ended up getting a patty melt and fries to go…
And it was pretty good stuff. I have a feel Big Boy might become one of my new go-to places when I need to run out to get something to eat for lunch. 😀🍔🍟❤️

Most Thursdays on our way home from work, we stop someplace to have a drink and maybe a bite to eat. Tonight, we stopped into Queen City Exchange again…

My window is back!
I got another new work station today at Grey. And now my window seat is back!
I don’t have my awesome view of Carew Tower anymore but a window is a window…
I’ll have to take a photo out of my window looking the other direction because it looks right at the Ohio River and the Bengals Paul Brown Stadium. 😀🏙️❤️

Reds baseball game #3.
Tonight, we went to our third Reds game of the season. Genifer’s financial advisor, Courtney and her boyfriend Mike were in Cincinnati for the evening. And they took us to out to GABP to see the Reds take on Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I don’t think we’ve ever seen the Angels play before at GABP…
It was a beautiful night for baseball…
Mike got us tickets out in center field so we could have a good view of the Trout…
We never sat out in center field before. I was neat to get to see the ballpark from a new vantage point. But the setting sun was pretty brutal at the start of the game…
There he is…
The best player in all of baseball, Mike Trout…
The Reds hung five on the Angels in the first inning including a ball that Jose Peraza hit that looked like it was coming right towards us only to hit off the top of the center-field wall. I went back and watched the replay. And if you look really close you can see us…
Reds ace Luis Castillo was pitching for the Reds…
And he threw a gem. Luis Castillo struck out a career-best 13 batters through seven innings, and got us all free pizza!
And Mike Trout hit a bomb into the upper deck just above us…
And this one belonged to the Reds, 7-4!
What a great night at GABP! A big thanks to Courtney and Mike for taking us out to the ballgame! It was pretty incredible to get to see Mike Trout and Luis Castillo do Mike trout and Luis Castillo things. 😀⚾️❤️

Aster on Fourth.
After the Reds game, we walked up to check out Aster on Fourth for the first time to have a drink while we waited for the Uber prices to stop their surging…
We followed the arrows and we rode the elevator up…
Up to Aster Social Sippery on the third floor…
Look at those gorgeous floor to ceiling windows…
Genifer had the Lost in the Woods on the right and I had the Kavacon on the left…
Aster has an incredible patio that overlooks Fourth Street…

Take me out to the ballgame.
This afternoon we went to the Sunday Reds game against the Colorado Rockies, or as we like to call it, baseball church. It was our second Reds game of the season after we were rained out on the second game of the season…
We stopped to look at our Reds All-Star Legacy brick…
Next time we come down to a Reds game, we’re going to have to bring a little scrubber and some water to clean our brick. But it was great to be back with our friends at Great American Ball Park…
It sure was a beautiful day for baseball…

He’s really quickly become one of my very favorite Reds. After his at-bat, we moved down to the gap…
And then down to the right-field line…
Someone had already lost one of the stickers from their Joey Votto Fathead…
And we moved out underneath the PNC Power Stacks in center field…

It was great to be back at the ballpark. 😀⚾️❤️
UPDATE: I was really bummed to find out this morning that @Reds traded away Yaisel Puig. I was hoping that he would be in Cincinnati for many, many seasons. It’s the first time a quite a while that I actually feel sad about a Reds player leaving Cincinnati after being traded. I’ll definitely miss Puig’s larger than life personality and his passion for the game. He made baseball in Cincinnati really fun again. ⚾️😥💪💯
UPDATE: Don’t even get me started on the Reds trading Scooter Gennett to the Giants for a player to be named later. 😭 Taken with Instagram.
