More Happy Pi Day!
Genifer brought home pie from O-Pie-O in East Walnut Hills for dinner tonight…
This is a slice of O-Pie-O’s Greek Quiche. It was pretty outstanding. She also brought home a slice of their lemon pie for dessert. And it was incredible as well…
There were so many delicious pies today. I wish we could have Pi Day every day. They should really extend Pi Day to Pi Week instead because I would have liked the pie to go on forever. 😀🥧❤️

Happy Pi Day!
Today is March 14th, 3.14. And that means it’s Pi Day! What better way to celebrate Pi Day than with pie? At work, we celebrated Pi Day with a good old fashioned pie baking contest with two categories: sweet pies and savory pies…
This goat cheese pie looked interesting…
As did this Reuben pie…
Either that or I was just really ready for lunch. There were seven sweet pies and four savory pies locked in a battle for Deskey pie supremacy.
After everyone had tried all the pies and cast their vote for their favorite, there was a mini pie eating contest between two of my colleagues which has to exist somewhere online because…
It was the world’s slowest pie eating contest. In fact, I’m not entirely certain that it ever reached a conclusion. It very well might be still going on. And then it was time to hand out some prizes…
A bourbon pecan pie was the clear winner on the sweet side…
And it was my favorite too. My favorite on the savory side was the Reuben pie which was the runaway winner of the savory pie category…
It was a really fun and delicious way to celebrate National Pi Day. 😀🍰🏆🍕❤️

I took this photo with my Instagram on my way home from a cold, snowy and grey downtown this evening…
Later, I ran the same photo through some filters and made some adjustments in Flickr, and actually like this result better…
By the time I got home to Northside, the sun was out. And the sky was really pretty from our backyard…
So I guess, a ‘good evening from Northside’ is also in order. 😀☁️⛅️📷❤️

A snowy day in downtown Cincinnati.
It was cold and snowy day downtown Cincinnati this afternoon. The forecast called snow squalls throughout the day. I don’t know that we ever really got snow squalls. But it would snow for a bit. And then the sun would come out. And then it would get all grey and start to snow again. It was a really interesting day as far as the weather goes. I grabbed a video of the snow on my Instagram as well as a couple of videos of the snow with my little Polaroid CUBE because I found myself just staring out my window at work watching the snowflakes fall…
It’s nothing like the snow they’ve been getting out in Boston but still pretty “brrrr.” nonethlesss. 🌨️❄️❤️

Mondays are better with pizza.
Mondays are better when they end with pizza. Especially when it’s a huge half cheese and half pepperoni pizza and NoNo BBQ wings from Chameleon pizza…
YUM! And all of a sudden, the Monday right after the spring forward portion of daylight savings time isn’t so bad. 😀🍕🐔❤️
