I ordered a Chicken Bahn Mi sammich and an egg roll…
Their sammiches are very delicious and really inexpensive. 😀🍜❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.
Earlier in the week, they finished knocking down the building across the street. Since then, they’ve been working to clear all the rubble and debris. I was kind of surprised to see how much progress they’ve made in just a few days…
It’s pretty crazy that a building can just disappear without a trace so quickly. And over on Court Street, the new downtown Kroger tower continues to reach skyward…
When it’s all said and done, this building will be 18-stories tall and be home to a two-story supermarket, 139 apartments and a six-story, 555-space parking garage. It would have been pretty awesome to have a Kroger right around the corner when we used to live downtown. 😀🚧❤️

An icy good morning.
When we woke up this morning, it looked like just another rainy, wet morning. But when we were out walking the dogs, we noticed everything was covered in a thin layer of ice…
Everything except for roads and sidewalks that is. Still, most schools were on a two-hour delay. And I guess there were a lot of people who lost power. Thankfully, we didn’t lose power. And the ice didn’t affect us that much at all. We actually made it to work extra early. I wish we would have had more time this morning to take more photos of everything covered in ice. 😀🌨️❄️❤️

How much fun would this be?
I found these graphics on social media demonstrating how an expanded college football playoff could work using this week’s Top 25 rankings. This first one is with the college football playoff expanded to eight teams…
And this second one is for a college football playoff that is expanded to sixteen teams…
Looking at both of these graphics, there would be so many amazing games between big-name programs. It would be really incredible to be able to watch this playoff unfold every year. And this way the college football championship would be decided on the field instead of in some conference room somewhere. Any option would be much better than the joke of a playoff college football has right now. 😀🏈❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.
I could make a whole separate blog just about construction and demolition. It’s been really fascinating to watch. At least it has been for me. But I’m going to combine all the daily photos I took over the last week into this one blog post so our blog doesn’t become that blog all about construction. On Tuesday, I could see the windows of our old apartment at Sycamore Place across the way…

Rhinegeist on Spring Grove?
We took a different way home from work this evening. We went home up Spring Grove Avenue and we passed by this huge new building in Camp Washington just around the corner from Northside…
It must be a Rhinegeist brewing or canning facility. I wonder if they’re going to put a taproom in there as well? I guess we’ll have to wait and see… 😀👻❤️

Downtown Cincinnati Inc. has partnered with the City of Cincinnati to develop pop-up shops that bring together entrepreneurs, artists, makers, and small businesses with local property owners to fill vacant spaces and activate downtown. The first of these new pop-up shops is on Main Street next to Aronoff Center…
It’s a really cool idea. We can’t wait to check out this pop-up shop on Friday. 😀🛍️❤️
