This afternoon we went over to Genifer’s mom’s house for Thanksgiving dinner…
We hope everyone had a very thankful and delicious Thanksgiving! I know we did. It was a great day. And to top it all off, Genifer’s Cowboys won again. Ten in a row!Â

Apparently, the set is off to the right somewhere…

And it was another Habañero Burrito Monday…
Taken with Instagram. 🙂

We found ourselves up and moving relatively early again, so we decided to go to out to brunch for the third Sunday in a row. We walked down Hamilton Avenue back to Django Western Taco to check out their brunch offerings…
Django was offering items off both their brunch and lunch menu, which complicated matters a bit. Decisions, decisions, decisions…
We started with chips and salsa…
Genifer got a carnitas taco to go with her chips and salsa. I was going back and forth between the breakfast sandwich off the brunch menu and the chicken biscuit off the lunch menu. I decided to go with the chicken biscuit…
I also saw one of the servers carrying the breakfast sandwich to a table. It looked delicious and it was massive. I’ll have to give it a try next time. I also had to order a side of Chef Josh’s famous tater tot casserole. It’s been waaay too long. And it was every bit as incredible as I remembered it…
Another incredible meal at Django, and another amazing brunch in Northside. We’re getting pretty used to living in the epicenter of brunch of Cincinnati. 🙂

Sometime last week, the owners of Huit Craft BBQ closed up shop on Court Street and moved to their new location over on Main Street just a block south of where I work. Their new place is called Neuf Asian Eatery. I always thought Huit was really good stuff (really good) so this afternoon I decided to give Neuf a try for a late lunch…

I ordered their battered chicken stir fry lunch plate with Cantonese classic brown sauce with steamed Jasmine rice…
And I tried the one of the most difficult to pronounce dishes on the menu, Xiao Long Bao dumplings. They’re pork and shrimp steamed dumplings Shanghai style with ginger soy sauce. And they were out of this world!
It was a really, really outstanding lunch, even though I ordered way too much food!
I’ll definitely be back to Neuf very soon and often! 🙂

Whenever the Cincinnati Cyclones score five goals and win, you have five days to exchange your ticket for a free Donatos one topping pizza. After work this evening,
I picked up our free Donatos pizzas from Wednesday’s 7-4 Cyclones win over the Reading Royals. And Genifer found someone’s ticket on the ground as we were leaving US Bank Arena so we had three tickets to redeem for free pizzas…

I managed to get all three of them home on the bus without eating any of them…
And then it was finally time to eat free pizza…
Free pizza sure is delicious! A super big thanks to Donatos and our Cyclones for our free pizza pies! 🙂

We night walked down Hamilton Avenue to have dinner at Bistro Grace. We’ve been wanting to eat dinner at Bistro Grace after enjoying their burgers as part of Cincinnati Burger Week…
Genifer had their Grace burger, which was outstanding… And huge…
And I ordered the one of the specials which was shrimp and four cheese grits with beets and brussel sprouts…
And it was out of this world. I could eat that dish everyday and twice on Sunday. It was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a quick minute. Outstanding stuff. And Genifer said her burger was pretty out of this world too. We can’t wait to come back to Bistro Grace. 🙂
ps. There were also some really amazing architectural paintings on the walls of some various landmarks around Cincinnati by artist Mike Maydak. I particularly liked the one of Hamilton Avenue and the one of downtown Cincinnati. Good stuff.

Tonight, we walked down Hamilton Avenue to Ruth’s Parkside Cafe. We’ve been wanting to eat at Ruth’s for a little bit. And celebrating our eight month wedding anniversary seemed like a pretty good excuse to finally check it out…

We started with these amazing Grilled Corn Risotto Cakes…
Genifer ordered Ruth’s House-Made Veggie Burger with pickled vegetables. We also ordered the grilled potatoes with cheddar cheese to share…
And I ordered Ruth’s Burger with good old American Cheese with chips…
Everything was delicious! We can’t wait to come back and try some of the other delicious sounding items on the menu at Ruth’s Parkside Cafe…
On the walk home, we double checked to make sure we were following Ruth’s Parkside Cafe on Twitter so could get all the notifications about their daily lunch and dinner specials. What a wonderful way to celebrate our eight month anniversary. 🙂

Genifer made some awesome slow-cooker chili and sweet corn cornbread for dinner tonight. And it was delicious…

She makes some really good stuff! Taken with Instagram. 🙂

All that talk about Huit yesterday got me thinking that it’s been a minute since I’ve eaten there. So today, I walked up to Court Street to get lunch from Huit Craft BBQ…
I got curry empanadas, which were delicious…
And I got Huit’s sweet and sour chicken. I’ve been on a real Asian food kick…
What a very tasty lunch. 🙂

I’ve been having a craving for Chinese food lately. Unfortunately, one thing that the Northside is missing, or that we haven’t discovered yet, is a good Chinese restaurant. Thankfully, I can satisfy my hankering for some good Chinese food by just taking a quick walk from my office down Main Street…
Thank goodness for Orient…
And here is the delicious General Tso’s chicken I had for lunch…
YUM! 🙂
