This afternoon we went over to Genifer’s mom’s new house for Thanksgiving dinner…
I ate one of the turkey wings. It was like a giant chicken wing only with turkey! We hope everyone had a very thankful and delicious Thanksgiving! I know we did. It was a great day filled with wonderful food and family. 😀🦃❤️

This evening we stopped to celebrate Genifer’s new position in GCB’s HR department with a bite to eat at Django Western Taco…
Usually, we go with the old stand-bys. Genifer gets salsa, maybe some of their Django-style guacamole and a taco. I always go for the incredible chicken biscuit. But tonight Django threw us a curve ball by adding some new dishes. Like Totachos…
Tots topped with barbacoa pulled pork, queso, barbeque sauce and crema. Awe. Some. And the Chorizo Melt with chorizo, avocado and fried egg on Texas Toast…
Genifer also ordered another of our old favorites, the Jerk Chicken Quesadilla…
Outstanding stuff. Now whenever we go to Django, we’re going to be faced with some really tough decisions. And I’m good with that. 😀🌮❤️

For dinner tonight, Genifer made another of the terrific Kroger Prep+Pared meals. We had one of our favorites again, the Vietnamese-Inspired spicy lemongrass pork with coconut rice & cabbage salad…
Delicious flavors. Those Kroger Prep+Pared meals are really pretty amazing. 😀🍜❤️

We didn’t do a lot today. It was unseasonably warm. It was in the mid-60s. Really nice. But it was crazy windy. We took advantage of it being so nice outside and walked down to Boswell’s Alley for lunch…
Genifer woke up with a hankering for Bos Bites. And I woke up wanting a Super Grill. So we had another really great Boswell’s lunch. Afterwards, we noticed this mural on the side of a building on Blue Rock Road just kitty-corner to Urban Artifact…
Humble Monk Brewing Company, formerly Rabbit Hash Brewery is coming sometime soonish to Northside. On our way home, we stopped at Higher Gravity for a beer and the second half of the Michigan-Wisconsin game. And then we came home. It was a pretty nice Saturday afternoon in Northside. 😀❤️

After dropping off Oscar at his groomers, we stopped at Press on Monmouth over in Newport for some coffee…

Genifer got a latte and I got a cold brew coffee on nitro….
Genifer also got a chicken cobb salad for later. I forgot to take a photo of it. But it was huge. I got a sausage biscuit with egg and hot honey…
It was an incredible breakfast sammich that I wish I could eat every morning. I wish we could get over to Press on Monmouth more often. They have delicious stuff. 😀☕️❤️

After we were all squared away at the Apple Store, we met our friends Cory and Amy and their twins at A Tavola in Madeira for lunch…
Surprisingly, we’ve never been to either of the A Tavola locations before today…
We thought it would be bigger inside but it’s very small and cute and intimate and it smelled really amazing in there…
Genifer tried the Fretboard Jazz, and I had the Rhinegeist Penguin which looked like a lager but had all the taste of a really great stout…
They had a bunch of really great sounding pizzas. But after much back and forth, we decided to share the Gorgonzola pizza with tomato sauce, gorgonzola, mozzarella, house made sausage, pepperoni and cracked pepper…
It was a terrific pizza! Next time, we find ourselves in Madeira we’ll definitely stop in for another one of their delicious pies! 😀🍕❤️
