More grilling with Clifton Market.

On the way home, I stopped atĀ Clifton Market again to get some more of their amazing bacon cheddar burgers to put on the grill this evening…

And you know it’s almost summer when the Bell’s Oberon makes its first appearance…

We put the burgers on the grill and Genifer had some chicken cutlets too…

Those burgers are so delicious…

And it turned out to be a really pretty evening as well…

Grilling with Clifton Market.

On my way home, I stopped in Clifton to pick up some stuff to grill for dinner …

I picked up some regular burger patties and and some cheddar bacon stuffed burger patties from the meat counter at the new Clifton Market…

I grabbed my groceries and headed to get back on the bus…

Check out these odd little creatures in one of the shop windows along Ludlow Avenue…

When I got home, we fired up the grill…

We threw a few hot dogs on the grill as well…

And Genifer made a bunch of oven fries…

And it was another awesome dinner off the grill…

Those cheddar and bacon stuffed burgers were just outstanding. We’re definitely have to get some more very soon. And we’re definitely loving our new grill. I think we could grill every night and never get tired of it. šŸ™‚

FC Cincinnati versus Louisville City FC.

IT’S FC CINCINNATI MATCH DAY THREE! This evening we ventured over to Nippert Stadium to watch FC Cincinnati take on their closest geographical USL rival, Louisville City FC…

We sat in general admission for the very first time so we could all sit together. It’s not a bad view from over there…

The march of the supporters groups into The Bailey…

It was a pretty chilly evening. It wasn’t the coldest match we’ve ever been to but it was nowhereĀ near the warmest either…

SPOILER ALERT: Djiby would get sent off later in the match; a straight red…

HERE WE GO!

LCFC snatched the early lead…

And that’s the way the match would stay for the rest of the first half. Back and forth. Back and forth. But no more goals from either side… SPRINKLES!

I just don’t know what to say. There reallyĀ aren’t words. I think I’m mostly just really disappointed because I almost wore the same exact thing but I didn’t think I’d be warm enough on such a chilly evening…

😐 šŸ¦„ Ā Anyway, there was another good crowd packed into Nippert for tonight’s match…

And the second half is underway…

GOAL FC|C! 1-1!

And that’s the way the match would finish, 1-1. That’s better than a loss. The matches are always a bunch of fun to watch live. The atmosphere is always incredible. And it was a blast to get myĀ parents out to their very first FC|C match. But Djiby got sent off so there’s that, which will be a fun plot twist for the team to try to deal with…

FC Cincinnati’s next home match isn’t until May 13th when they welcome Orlando City B to Nippert Stadium. We’ll see you there! šŸ™‚

UPDATE: Apparently, Djiby bit or tried to bite someone during the match and has been suspended for an additional five matches.

From the USL:

FC Cincinnati’s Djiby Fall has received a six-game suspension and undisclosed fine. It consists of a one-game suspension and fine for the red card for serious foul play, and an additional five-game suspension and fine for major game misconduct during last week’s match against Louisville City FC. Fall’s suspension runs through June 3, pending any schedule changes.

[UPDATE] – The USL has provided further clarification to its disciplinary report for Week 5. Djiby Fall’s five-game suspension and undisclosed fine for Major Game Misconduct is for biting an opponent during the match on April 22, 2017.

HabaƱero Burrito Monday!

On my way home, I stopped at HabaƱero in Clifton to pick up some burritos for dinner because it was another HabaƱero $5 Burrito Monday

It had been a minute since we last had $5Ā HabaƱero Burrito Monday. It sure is good stuff. Taken with Instagram.Ā šŸ„™ šŸ™‚

Clifton Market.

This afternoon we rode our beloved Metro 17 bus over to Clifton’s Gaslight District…

We wanted to check out the long awaited new co-op grocery store, Clifton Market

It’s been three years in the making since planning began…

From to Clifton Market’s website:

The co-op business model is the best way to serve the community.Ā  Grocery co-ops source more local food, pay better wages, and put more money back into the local economy. Ā Profits from the co-op are returned to owners in the community in the form of patronage dividends. Ā This encourages owner loyalty because the more you shop, the more you get back.

We’re most excited about it because it’s right on the 17 bus line home from downtown. So if there’s ever a need to stop and pick something up for dinner, or if we’re missing a key ingredient, I can stop on my way home from work without having to get in the car and run back out to our local Kroger. Plus with it being a co-op, I feel better about my money going back into the community. Annnnd, I want to see Clifton Market do well because the new Northside co-op grocery store, Apple Street Market is based off the same premise. I would love to have option of going to Clifton Market right on the bus line or stopping at Apple Street Market just a few blocks from our house. šŸ™‚

Dinner from UberEats.

We had dinner from Cactus Pear in Clifton delivered by UberEats. So much good stuff. Genifer had cheese enchiladas. I had chicken quesadillas. And we shared Flameado, a casseroleĀ of baked cheese, chorizo, caramelized onions and poblano peppers served with flour tortillas. It was so good and so easy but we ordered way too much food. UberEats makes it so easy to have great food delivered right to your dining room table. We’ll definitely be ordering from Cactus Pear again very soon šŸ™‚

HabaƱero Burrito Monday.

Today seemed like a perfect day for another HabaƱero Burrito Monday…

We love HabaƱero’s Burrito Mondays. We got two huge burritos with chips and salsa for just $11.50. You can’t beat that. It makes dinner sooo easy. The burritos are enormous and really delicious. And I really dig their chips and salsa too. šŸ™‚

Apparently, the set is off to the right somewhere…

And it was another HabaƱero Burrito Monday
