Good morning.

The moon was still hovering over our house as I left to catch the bus this morning…

And it was pretty hazy when I got off the bus downtown…

Good morning from Cincinnati. 😀🌕🚌🌞❤️

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made Shepherd’s Pie for dinner this evening…

It was delicious. She comes up with the best ideas for dinner! 😀🍲❤️

Are you ready for some football?

We had some friends over for today’s Cowboys versus Chiefs football game. And we put out some snacks for the game…

Our Cowboys beat the Chiefs 28-17. But the snacks won the day. 😀🍲❤️

Northside’s Blue Jay.

After watching some soccer this morning, we walked to get lunch for the very first time from the Blue Jay! It’s been a Northside staple for the last sixty years…

It’s kinda hard to believe it’s taken us over a year to eat here for the first time. But I think I know why. The Blue Jay is open Monday through Saturday until 3pm. And we just don’t move very fast on most Saturdays…

The inside is an awesome throwback to a bygone era…

It was lunchtime. And we both went for burgers…

And they were awesome! Nothing fancy, just a really solid burger. Last year, Blue Jay closed for a day so it could serve as a movie set. Come to find out that the movie is The Killing of a Sacred Deer which is in theatres now and stars Colin Farrel, Nicole Kidman and Alicia Silverstone.

We’ve already started plotting what we’re going to order on our next visit. Depending on what time we roll in, it’s either going to be pancakes and omelets or we’re going to give their Cincinnati chili a try with some cheese coneys and three-ways. What a terrific place! 😀🐦🎥❤️

UberEats: Los Potrillos.

We ordered a whole bunch of delicious Mexican food from Los Potrillos in Clifton for dinner and had it delivered to us via UberEats

Los Potrillos’s Mexican food is really good. And UberEats was really quick tonight. Also, both of the bulbs in our dining room lamp burned out so we were eating without a light. It was so romantical. 😀🌯🕯️❤️

Pause for paws.

I’ve been trying to get a good video of Oscar playing with his sammich. He will grab it and toss it around and run from one end of our bedroom to the another. He gets really into it. And will chase it and run around like crazy. This isn’t that video. This morning he was chasing it and tossing it around, I started recording video and he stopped. He wanted me to get his sammich so he could chase me around instead…

One day I’ll get a good video of him being crazy and tossing his sammich all around our bedroom and chasing after it. It’s pretty funny to watch. 😀🐶🥪❤️

Northside Saturday.

We headed out this afternoon in Northside. We stopped to gawk at the giant maneki-neko lucky cat in the window of Chicken Lays An Egg

And then we continued on to Django Western Taco for lunch…

Genifer ordered a big bowl of chicken tortilla soup with one of Django’s biscuits…

And speaking of biscuits…

THE CHICKEN BISCUIT IS BACK AT DJANGO!!!

And all is right in the world once again. I missed it so much. It’s so tasty. Chef Josh also let us try a taste of another soup he’s working on, a chipotle ham and veggie soup…

From there, we walked down to Second Place

For a nice bourbon slush and some popcorn…

Whoever does the Second Place calendar posters obviously has some fun with them…

And on the way home, we stopped at Higher Gravity for a beer. We walked into a benefit for The Good Boy Foundation that was just winding down with a whole bunch of dog’s in Halloween costumes…

We saw on Higher Gravity’s Untappd menu that they had just tapped a Robe Red Velvet Stout from Streetside Brewery and Holtman’s Donuts and also just tapped a Holtman’s Apple Fritter Cider from March First Brewing

YUM! It was just another fun Saturday afternoon in Northside. 😀⬆️❤️

Good morning from Northside.

The sun was just starting to poke through the trees. 😀☀️❤️

GrubHub: China Food.

We’ll be the first people to admit, it’s really nice when people bring you food. We’ve been known to give UberEats a tap or two. But the options with UberEats are always pretty limited. Recently, our default food delivery app became OrderUp. It had a nice variety of options and you could easily track the progress of your order through the OrderUp app. And it never took very long for our food to arrive. And then OrderUp merged with GrubHub, I’d never really heard good things about GrubHub. But tonight, we broke down and finally decided to give GrubHub a try. We ordered dinner from China Food in Clifton. Placing the order was easy enough, but the app never updated to show the progress of our delivery. After about an hour or so of wondering where our order was, our somehow food arrived…

It was really good stuff…

And they gave us bunches of fortune cookies again

But the GrubHub app could really use some serious work. 😀🍚❤️

Good evening from Northside.

Good evening from Northside. Taken with Instagram. 😀❤️
