Grainworks Brewing Company.

This afternoon we drove all the way out to the suburbs of West Chester to check out Grainworks Brewing Company. It’s kind of tucked away in a little industrial park right by Voice of America Park…

Genifer had Grainworks My Blue Heaven blueberry fruited beer and I had the Black & Blue, which is their oatmeal stout mixed with the My Blue Heaven…

Both beers were really good…

There is so much really good beer in Cincinnati. And Grainworks is no exception. It’s another awesome Cincinnati brewery. 🙁⚙️🍺❤️

UPDATE: When I was looking for Grainworks beers in Untappd, I noticed that they have a Peanut Butter Milk Stout on tap. So we might need to make another trip out to West Chester very soon.

Fretboard Brewing Company.

This afternoon we drove out to Blue Ash to check out Fretboard Brewing Company…

It’s a pretty cool space. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be…

They had a lot of interesting sounding beers on tap…

But we were drawn out to Fretboard to try their Chase the Devil Double Imperial Stout with Habanero, coffee, and chocolate…

And it was pretty dang awesome. It had just the right amount of heat. Also, inside of Fretboard is Smoked Out Cincy BBQ…

We ordered a whole bunch of BBQ…

And it was really awesome too. My favorite thing was the Cajun Chicken Rolls. We also shared Fretboard’s Mimosa Fruit Beer…

And their Island Style Tropical Ale…

And those beers were really good too!

Fretboard is yet another really great Cincinnati brewery. We’ll definitely have to make another trip out to Blue Ash really soon. 😀🍺❤️

Apricot Coffee House.

After making a run to Trader Joe’s this morning, we got to stop at another new coffee shop. This morning’s pick was the new Apricot Coffee House in Pleasant Ridge…

Genifer had a latte. You could see the flower pattern through the lid…

And they had donuts from Starlight Doughnut Lab…

I had the Choc Norris cold brew, cacao and banana smoothie with a mint chocolate donut from Starlight Doughnuts Lab…

Apricot Coffee House is a great little coffee shop. We’ll definitely be back! 😀☕️🍩❤️

Summer Gods Tour.

This evening we went to see Third Eye Blind play at Riverbend’s PNC Pavilion…

It was an incredible show! Third Eye Blind is just amazing live. I posted a few more videos of their performance to my Instagram. What a show! What a night! 😀🎸🎶❤️

And on the way to our car, we got a beautiful view of tonight’s full moon…

Mad Llama Coffee.

We made an early Saturday morning run to Trader Joe’s. And that means we get to check out another new coffee shop. And the coffee shop we checked out this morning was Mad Llama in Madisonville…

Neat little coffee shop. We loved all the llamas and the coffees were great! 😀☕️❤️

Awakenings Coffee Roasters.

On Saturday mornings, we’ve been getting up super early and heading to Trader Joe’s to get some groceries for the week before it gets crazy over there. After we’re done at Joe’s, I thought it would be fun to try a different coffee shop in the area. This morning’s coffee shop was Awakenings Coffee Roasters in Montgomery…

She shared a cinnamon roll because… well, I love cinnamon rolls…

The coffees and the cinnamon roll were both really good…

Oh. And we shared this breakfast sammich…

It was a really good little coffee shop. We can’t wait to find more. 😀☕️❤️

It was a really fun Saturday.

This morning we were out running errands and got coffees from Hyde Perk…

Later, we went down to Over-the-Rhine. We stopped to admire OtR’s Ziegler Park…

Then we stopped at The Pony for lunch. They had Bell’s Pineapple Jalapeno Oberon on tap. And it was sooooo good…

The Pony has some of the best chicken tenders in all of Cincinnati…

Then we walked down Main Street to finally get to check out the relatively new Pins Mechanical Company just down from The Pony…

Pins has Duck Pin Bowling…

We didn’t try any bowling. We’ll have to save that fun for another time. And upon the second floor of Pins…

Pins has a whole bunch of pinball machines…

Upon the third floor, they have an awesome patio with a bocce ball court and giant Jenga. But that is another story for another time. On the way home, we stopped at Second Place to watch the end of the Champions League Final…

It was another pretty fun Saturday. 😀🐴🎳❤️

Camp Washington Chili.

Today, we stumbled across Camp Washington Chili…

Camp Washington Chili is a fixture in the Cincinnati Chili scene. Since 1940, Camp Washington Chili has been proudly serving up chili from the one and only Camp Washington Chili Parlor! I knew of them because they sponsored the coney eating contests on Fountain Square. And their coneys are really good. We hadn’t been looking very hard for Camp Washington Chili or anything. I knew it was over by us somewhere. But I wasn’t exactly sure where it was. And today, we just drove right by it. I learned that Camp Washington is just south of Northside. It’s tucked in between the I-75 to the east and Mill Creek to the West.

Now that we know exactly where Camp Washington Chili is, we’ll have to stop and give it a try sometime soon. 😀🧀🌭❤️

We drove out to suburbia this afternoon to have a Memorial Day cook-out with Geri…

Steaks were just the tip of the iceberg. There were also cheeseburgers and hot dogs and all sorts of sides. Soooo much food. It was a good time. It’s always really good to see her. And one the way home, we saw this double rainbow…
