And then we went to the Reds game. It was one of the best days.

Five years on and it’s still one of the most incredible sporting events I’ve ever attended. But it wasn’t just the All-Star Game, it was all the build-up to the game, all the months of excitement around Cincinnati and all the events of All-Star Week that made it such a memorable event. That, and getting to snap a photo of these guys…

Two years ago, I was recovering from my second hip replacement surgery…
Three years ago today, FC Cincinnati’s magical 2017 US Open Cup run continued as FC|C defeated Chicago Fire on penalties in the Round of 16. It was an amazing night that will forever be etched in Cincinnati sports lore…
Thinking about that night still gives me chills.
And four years ago, we officially moved into our house in Northside…
Unpacking is just the worst. I’m glad we’re all settled into our great big house now. And we said goodbye to our little apartment downtown…
Five years ago, Cincinnati was getting ready to host the MLB All-Star Game…

Another good Saturday.
Good morning from Northside…
We stopped at Biggby for our weekend morning coffee…
We ran over to Home Depot to get some more stuff for our front yard…
Like this tomato and citronella…
This was our first trip to Home Depot in a long time. And it was also our last trip to Home Depot after we heard they pledged to back Orangey McLiarface’s bid for re-election in November. I should have guessed it with all the orange at Home Depot. We’ll just be shopping at Lowe’s from now on.
On our way back home, there was a train going by overhead…
We got this cute little shrub and planter at Home Depot with our gift card…
After working on our front yard, we fired up the grill…
Those burgers were from Whole Foods and they were out of this world good.
I think it would be interesting to do a coffee table book about the alleys in Northside…
Good evening from Northside…
We also planted some little purple flowers in front of our bricks…
Our front yard is looking a lot better than it did a year ago…
We had another pretty good Saturday. 😀🗓️❤️
