Then he’d look at Genifer…

And back to the ball…
He kept doing this until one of us finally got up to toss his ball across the room for him. 🙂

Brought to Northern Kentucky by the early German immigrants, Goetta has always been a breakfast staple in the Greater Cincinnati area. Goetta was originally a peasant dish, meant to stretch out servings of meat over several meals to conserve money by adding pin-head oats and spices to ground meat usually pork, or pork and beef. We’ve hit up the Mainstrasse Goettafest before, and it’s a fun time. But not to be confused with the other Goettafest, Glier’s Goettafest over in Newport where I fell in love with the Goetta ‘n Chedda grilled cheese sammich…

And then, we finally found it…
Goetta ‘n Chedda! The secret is a slice of cheese on each slice of bread with the Goetta in the center…

Genifer found some of the best beer cheese I’ve ever had in my life…
We were so full of Goetta ‘n Chedda and amazing beer cheese that we didn’t have room for a bucket of delicious little donuts, also known as a Bucket of Heaven…
Or any ice creams at Piper’s Cafe…
And when we were done, we just hopped the Shuttle back downtown…
It was a great afternoon full of Goetta and beer cheese deliciousness! 🙂

Before today’s match there was raucous atmosphere on South Market Street…
After a little pregaming at The St. Clair, we headed down into Nippert Stadium…
Tonight, FC Cincinnati was playing Toronto FC II…
FC|C’s current EIGHT match undefeated streak in USL started in Toronto back in near the end of April. We were very hopeful that FC Cincy could keep their streak going against them this evening…
This must be the only couple in Cincinnati that can perform the Canadian National Anthem. The same couple sang O Canada before last week’s match against FC Montreal…
And then The Bailey rolled out their tifo for tonight’s match…
And it was poignant perfection…
Here we go…
GOOOOAL! Tworonto. 
At halftime, it was 1-0 FC II over FC Cincinnati…
GOOOOAL! FC Cincinnati! 1-1!
GOOOOAL!! FC Cincinnati! 2-1!
And that’s the way this one would finish 2-1 to FC Cincinnati!
FC Cincinnati takes their NINE match undefeated streak on the road next weekend to River City Cup (Dirty River Derby) rivals, Louisville City FC. Louisville City is current on a twelve match undefeated run in USL. It’s the longest current streak in USL. FC|C’s streak is the second longest current streak in USL. The last team FC Cincinnati lost to… Louisville City FC back in the middle of April. This match is going to be huge! Kick-off is at 7:30 with the match streaming live through YouTube. And it may or may not be the ESPN3 USL match of the week simulacast on Star 64. 😀

We missed The City Flea’s first appearance of the season back in May due to the weather being so unpredictable. I don’t think it ever actually rained. But it looked like it was about to starting pouring at any second all day long. Today was a really warm one with nothing sun and blue skies as far as the eye could see. So we headed up to Washington Park for the June edition of The City Flea…
I love each and every one of these hand-knit critters from For Lula Girl…
And their yarn-bombed bicycle was really pretty cool too…
Our backyard is definitely going to need some garden gnomes once we get moved in…
