Looks like we’re going to have to rake some leaves sometime soon…

I think Oscar can’t wait until all the leaves are raked into a big pile so he can jump in and roll around. 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made Shepherd’s Pie for dinner tonight…

And it was delicious. Genifer whips up such great stuff. 🙂

Seen and noted.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber was in town today for a whirlwind day tour of Cincinnati to see the city and learn more about the hype surrounding FC Cincinnati…

The most noteworthy part of the whole visit was a town hall meeting held at OtR’s Woodward Theatre emceed by ESPN commentator and analyst Taylor Twellman. We watched the town hall meeting on FC Cincinnati’s YouTube channel. It seemed that MLS and Don Garber were definitely impressed and taking note of the movement that is happening in Cincinnati. And that Cincinnati is very much being short-listed and strongly considered for future MLS expansion. ORANGE AND BLUE PRESS had a great post with photos about Don Garber’s visit to Cincinnati

All I know is it was an incredible inaugural first season and we can’t wait to see what happens in 2017!

For dinner tonight, Genifer made Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup & grilled cheeses…

Delicious stuff. She makes some really amazing meals. 🙂

Second Place.

This evening we walked down Hamilton Avenue to check out a new sports bar called Second Place. It’s a sports bar filled with second place trophies, and it’s the second place from the owners of The Littlefield

Second Place has a pretty nice draft beer list but what caught our attention were those bourbon and featured slushes…

Second Place has a few special food items provided by The Littlefield…

I believe you can also bring in carry-out from The Littlefield and eat it at Second Place. But back to those bourbon slushes…

The slushes are incredible! They also have special hand-aged bourbon in oak barrels…

We were told this concoction had been aged for forty days. Second Place also has a pool table and darts…

And a really great back patio too…

We hung out, ate a couple baskets of free popcorn and watched the Pat’s win…

We didn’t realize that right next to Second Place’s patio was the iconic Northside mural…

Great place. I could see watching many a sporting event at Second Place in the future. Because those bourbon slushes are pretty dang amazing. 🙂

Pause for paws.

The sun was actually made an appearance this morning, and Oscar took full advantage of the ample sunlight flooding into our bedroom…

🙂

Nine months ago today…

Nine months ago today, we were married in Jamaica

It’s been a very magical nine months of wedded bliss. 🙂

A lazy, long weekend.

It’s been pretty grey and overcast the last couple of days. And we haven’t done much of anything but relax. Especially on Black Friday. We just couldn’t bring ourselves to venture out into that mess…

We’ve just watched a whole bunch of football yesterday and today…

On Friday night, we watched Western Michigan topped Toledo 55-35. Western completed their first undefeated season and advanced to the MAC Championship game against Ohio. We also watched Cincinnati lose the final game of their very disappointing season.

Saturday morning, we watched the wild Swansea-Crystal Palace match that ended 5-4.

Then we ordered pizza, watched Michigan lose an absolute heartbreaker and watched Penn Station punch their ticket to the Big Ten championship. And watched a bit of the Clemson game before it started to get out of hand. It was really relaxing to lay around and do next to nothing. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the better part of the long weekend. 🙂

#TBT Pause for paws.

The bud dog. 🙂

Our Thanksgiving.

This afternoon we went over to Genifer’s mom’s house for Thanksgiving dinner…

We hope everyone had a very thankful and delicious Thanksgiving! I know we did. It was a great day. And to top it all off, Genifer’s Cowboys won again. Ten in a row! 🙂
