There are a handful of vets that offer a free first veterinary check-up within the first seven days of adoption of a pet from SPCA. This afternoon we got Mack into the vet for his first check-up. We took him to Monfort Heights Animal Clinic on North Bend Road. They were so nice! And we’re happy to report that they said Mack is in great health with no issues. He got his rabies shot updated and everything else was pretty much good to go. It was a really big day for him. Being in the car really freaks him out. It’s like he thinks we’re taking him back to SPCA Northside. When we got home, he crashed out pretty hard and was all tuckered out for the rest of the evening…
If only he was this chill every evening. 😀🐶🐾❤️

Genifer made another one of the delicious Prep+Pared meal kits for dinner tonight. This meal kit was for coconut curry chicken with lemongrass chutney, toasted rice and green beans…
And this one was delicious too! We’ve really enjoyed all the Kroger Pre+Pared meal kits from Kroger, except for one. 😀🥥🐔🍛❤️

It’s been a pretty big adjustment having a new friend living in the house with us…

There were a handful of leftover boxed lunches from Apple Spice after some meetings in our building today. I grabbed an extra Chicken Club boxed lunch…
The Chicken Club sammich was really tasty and the lunch came with a bag of chippers, a pickle, cookie and an Andes mint…
As far as boxed lunches go, it was a really good boxed lunch. 😀🥪🥒🍪❤️

On our way home from lunch with our friends, we stopped at PetSmart in Oakley to pick up some supplies for our new buddy, Mack. We got him some Mack specific food and treats and a liner for his crate. We also brought home a new large dog bed and a bunch of new toys. When we got home, Oscar immediately claimed the majority of the new toys and the large new dog bed…
“Mack who?” Oscar’s a little ding-dong who is not a big fan of sharing. But remember to check out Oscar’s Instagram. We’re still pondering if Mack is going to get his own Instagram as well. 😀🐶❤️
