We had tickets for this afternoon’s Xavier Men’s basketball game against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. We bought our tickets a while back after discovering how silly cheap you could get tickets for events on StubHub. Unfortunately, you can’t purchase good weather. It was pouring down rain this morning on our way to the game…
I made it through yet another metal detector without my hips set off the alarms…
It’s been a while since we’ve been to a Xavier game…
I don’t remember the player introductions being so cool…
We figured out there’s a place to stand up behind the seats. We like standing…
Xavier was leading at halftime…
It was kind of an ugly game. But Xavier won 73-63! That’s three in a row for X!
On the way out of Cintas Center, they gave everyone 20% off coupons at the Xavier team shop. We looked in the shop inside Cintas Center but they didn’t have any sizes…
So we walked down to the All For One Shop. And they had everything Xavier…
We both got Xavier sweatshirts to wear to our next Xavier game. 😀✖️🏀❤️
On our way home, we stopped at Taft’s Brewpourium for a beer, some loaded tots and a pepperoni&sausage apizza…
It was a really fun Saturday! 😀🍕❤️

Winding down another work week.
I’m packing up my workspace and calling it a week. I’m heading home for a three-day weekend. They gave us Monday off for a holiday shopping day. And they gave us a nice holiday bonus for our shopping. So that’s pretty nice. 😀💻❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.
I was curious to see how much progress they would make on the building across the street from work after the long holiday weekend. Since I last looked, it seems like they cleared all the rubble and debris and they’re starting to fill in the void with dirt. I took this photo on Monday morning…
I’m stil not really sure what the plan is for this space. I thought they were going to build ridiculously priced condos here. But recently, I heard that deal fell through. So I don’t know what they plan to do with this piece of prime real estate in downtown Cincinnati. 😀🚧❤️

The happiest hour in Northside.
After work this evening, we stopped at Second Place on the way home…
Second Place has some amazing burgers. They’re not anything super fancy. They’re just a really good, solid burger And during their happy hour, they’re half-price. A single burger is only $3 and just $5 for a double burger with bacon…
We add a basket of fries for $4. And boom, instant dinner. Second Place also had a really incredible Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout from March First on tap. And the drafts were also $1 off. It was a really good happy hour. I think it might just be the best happy hour in Northside. And I could see this becoming a weekly tradition. 😀🍔🍟❤️

Birchbox is so fun. Every month we each get a new box of beauty/grooming samples to try. There’s really no way we would hear about almost all of these products, let alone get to try them without Birchbox. It’s fun. So here’s what was inside both of our Birchboxes for November. Genifer gets her box a lot earlier in the month than I do…
In her box was R+Co WATERFALL Moisture+Shine Lotion, Marcelle New∙Age® Precision 8-in-1 Power Serum, CLEAN Reserve Skin Eau de Parfum, Lise Watier 24 Hrs Glam Mascara and Love of Color Ultra-Gloss Lip Pencil.

In my box was Daily Concepts Multi-Functional Charcoal Soap Sponge, Oars + Alps Bar Soap, Kiehl’s Men’s Oil Eliminator 24-Hour Anti-Shine Moisturizer, Olivina Men Exfoliating Bar Soap and Wilma Schumann Skin Care Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads.
I love the bar soaps. And you can never go wrong with anything Keihl’s. It was another really good box for me. Getting Birchbox is always really fun. 😀🎁❤️
