Google Local Guide socks!

A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from Google Local Guides notifying me that I earned a special perk!

I was going to receive a free pair of Google Local Guide socks because of my January contributions to Google MapsAnd today, my awesome Google Local Guide socks arrived in the mail…

How cool is that? I can’t wait to wear them. Thanks, Google! 😀🗺️🧦❤️

What the actual heck?

One of the things I love about our street is this open green space. We think it belongs to the Montessori school up the hill at the end of our street. Over the last couple of weeks, someone has been dumping stuff in this space. First, it was a big pile of wood chips. Then there was another pile of wood chips. And some tree trunks…

It was making me more and more irritated. I could only think that it had to be from one of the houses that are being renovated on our street. Most likely from the house right across the street…

And they were the ones that were dumping their waste in this space…

And then there was also some mulch…

And a bunch of fence posts…

And then yesterday morning, there were a bunch of people and kids working in the space. Turns out they are from the Montessori school are turning part of the green space into an orchard/fruit farm…

I was getting all fired up for nothing. Nothing at all. 🤪🌳🍏❤️

Checking out the WyzeCams.

Checking out the third-floor WyzeCam view of our street. 😀📹❤️

Delirium Night at HG.

Tonight at Higher Gravity, it was Delirium Night featuring both Delirium Tremens and Delerium Red. Delerium is that beer with the pink elephant that is really good. In fact, Delirium Tremens is one of the best beers I’ve ever had in my life. So we were pretty excited to also get to try Red as well…

Tremens was every bit as good as we remember it. Red would have been really good but it paled in comparison next to Tremens. (Ha. Because it’s also lighter than Tremens🤪). But Tremens is just plain amazing. It’s ridiculous just how good it is. Oh, and we got the keep these cool Delerium glasses…

After trying both beers, we stopped at Chameleon for a slice of pizza. It was a pretty fun Thursday. We haven’t been to HG in a quick second. It was great to hang out for a bit. 😀🍺🐘❤️

Good morning from Northside.

Good morning from Northside. 😀🌄❤️

Lunch at Blue Jay.

We both stayed home from work today but we did walk to Blue Jay for lunch…

Genifer ordered a grilled cheese with tomatoes again. And I ordered the chicken finger sammich again with cheese. That sammich is so dang good…

And wouldn’t you know it, just as soon as we were done eating it started pouring down rain outside. So we waited for it to stop raining in Shake It Records…

It was a great lunch. And it was good to recharge a bit. 😀🐔❤️

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made another one of the delicious Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals for dinner tonight. I forget to take a photo of what this one was called but it was chicken in a delicious sauce with broccoli and coconut jasmine rice…

And it was another delicious dinner! Those meals are all so good. 😀🐔🥦🍚❤️

Lunch at Django Western Taco.

We walked over to Django Western Taco to have lunch this afternoon…

Genifer ordered some Django chips and salsa because she loves chip and salsa more than any other person I’ve ever met…

And she ordered one carne asada taco…

I ordered the jerked chicken quesadilla and a prickly pear San Pellegrino…

And today Chef Josh had special bread pudding for dessert. I love bread pudding so we had to give it a try and just like everything else Chef Josh makes, it was delicious…

You can’t beat weekend lunches at Django. 😀🌮❤️

The Comet.

On our way home from Brink’s 2nd-anniversary party, we finally stopped at The Comet in Northside. The Comet is a Northside institution that’s been around since 1995. It’s known for live music, Sunday brunch, and amazing burritos. It’s just 3/4 of a mile from our house but somehow, we’ve never made it up to check it out. To be fair, it’s in the exact outside direction of almost everything else in Northside that we walk to. And we’d have to walk uphill all the way up Hamilton Avenue to get to The Comet…

We had a beer at the bar…

The Comet is a great place. And it smelled so good in there. We’ll definitely have to stop back very soon to actually eat one of their famous burritos and maybe a quesadilla too!

The walk home all downhill and wasn’t bad at all…

It was another fun Saturday in Northside. 😀☄️🍺❤️

Pause for paws.

Trying to watch morning soccer with Oscar can be difficult…

😀🐾❤️
