It’s starting to look better.

Today got off to kind of an overcast start…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran back over to Lowe’s this morning…

And we stopped at Mad Llama for coffee and bagels…

And then we did some work in our yard. We finally finished staining our fence…

We planted these marigolds…

We hung our wind chimes…

We got a couple of plants for our hanging baskets…

We forgot to get more pea gravel for our side yard. But we got another planter…

Two more little planters…

And planted plants in them…

But we ran out of potting soil before we could get to our Yucca…

We planted more marigolds…

We moved our little ground coverings from the side yard to the front yard…

Hopefully, they do better over here…

And we got this little mini rose bush…

Next, we’ll have to work on our grass and try to figure out what to do with the path in the backyard and there has been talk of a couple of rock rivers. But it’s starting to look a little better in our backyard.

Good evening from Northside…

We sat on our patio and watched FC Cincinnati lose the home opener in their beautiful new stadium…

We ate frozen oven pizzas…

And called it a Sunday…

We had another really good day. 😀🌄🏡🌻⚽️❤️

Soccer Saturday with some yardwork.

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s to get some stuff for our backyard…

We listened to the FA Cup final while we almost finished staining our fence…

But we ran out of stain. Again. And we put some little pea gravel down on the other side of the path in our side yard…

We walked to Tickle Pickle to pick up an early dinner…

I’m not certain but I think Tickle Pickle might have got a big new sign…

But they have fries now!

BAM!

And the fries were delicious…

Good evening from Northside…

Tomorrow, we’ll go get some more stain for our fence and some flowers for our side yard…

Later, we watched the ladies of Racing Louisville play to nil-nil draw…

And we watched Minnesota United snatch a 1-0 win in the 95th minute…

It was a really good Saturday. 😀🌄🖌️🍔🍟⚽️❤️

Happy 513 Day!

Today is May 13th, also known as 5-1-3 Day…

It’s a day to celebrate all the things from area code 513 and Cincinnati…

Good morning from Northside…

They’ve been working on disassembling a tree just off Pullan Street. They’ve been working on it since we got home from our trip but we weren’t sure which tree they were working on. Today, it became pretty clear…

They’ve also been resurfacing Pullan…

I wish they would work on the rest of the streets in Northside next. It was another really gorgeous day…

Good evening from Northside…

We talked about getting Skyline for dinner tonight in honor of 513 day. Because what’s more 513 than Skyline chili? But we decided to get hoagies from NYPD instead…

And then we played in our backyard for a bit…

And then we crashed out for the night…

We had a pretty good 513 day. Hopefully next year, things will keep more normal and we can do 513 day even better. 😀🌄🌳🚧🥪🍟❤️

Today was a very pretty day.

It was really pretty this morning…

And it was very pretty this evening as well…

We had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread for dinner tonight…

It’s been a minute since we’ve had spaghetti. And I love spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.

After dinner, we mowed the little bit of grass we have in our backyard…

This afternoon we watched Arsenal complete the double over Chelsea for the first time in 17 years with a gifted 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge. And later, we watched Minnesota United pick up their first win of the season, 1-0 over Vancouver.

It was a pretty good Wednesday. 😀🌄🍝🏡❤️

It was pretty slow start to the short work week. It was nice to ease back into work…

We made BLTs for dinner tonight…

Mine was more of turkey club actually…

Mack was trying his best to wait patiently to go outside so we could play in our backyard…

Later, we finished watching season one of Ted Lasso on Apple TV. It was super cute. And pretty hilarious. We really can’t wait for season two. 😀🌄🥪🐾📺❤️

Faithful Companion dropped off Svensk’s remains this morning…

Our home feels very empty without her with us. We miss her so much.

There was a little garter snake in our backyard this afternoon…

Thankfully the dogs didn’t notice it.

Super pink moon.

And we were back at it on another Monday morning…

At least the sun’s out this morning. And that makes it a good morning from Northside…

We made it through another Monday…

Good evening from Northside…

We had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This one was Wild Mushroom and Steak Risotto with broccolini and tomatoes…

It was another great meal. I could have eaten that risotto for the rest of the week. After dinner, we played in the backyard for a little while…

Tonight, there was a 99.4% full moon. It was the first of two super moons thi s year…

This year we’ll be treated to two super moons. The first was tonight and the second will be on May 26.

Super moons are bigger and brighter than your average full Moon. This super pink moon didn’t actually look super pink, or pink at all really. The moon was its usual color, just a very bright white as it moved across the sky!

I really like the super moons.😀🌄🍽️🌕❤️

Oooh! Stuffed crust!

We didn’t have any snow this morning but it was still pretty chilly…

Good morning from Northside…

For about a half hour very morning and every afternoon, our street gets completely clogged with school drop-off and pick up traffic…

It’s a real mess. All the school traffic used to go down the next street over from us. That street is wider and better equipped to handle all the school traffic. This daily traffic jam is probably the part of the pandemic I’m most looking forward to going away. But at least the school finally got their grass cut this afternoon…

Good evening from Northside…

We had an NYPD pizza party this evening…

NYPD had a new stuffed crust pizza that we tried tonight…

Oooh! Stuffed crust! It was pretty good stuff. But I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo of all the cheese in the crust. It was really cheesy.

And 12 years ago, I placed my deposit on our little apartment downtown…

A pretty, rainy Tuesday.

It was a very pretty morning, a little chilly but very pretty…

Good morning from Northside…

But this evening, the clouds moved in and brought some sprinkles…

When we got to the top of the hill at the end of our street, it went from sprinkling…

To raining…

And a good rainy evening from Northside…

Apparently, they’ve started working on the house at the end of our street again…

And we had pesto tortellini for dinner…

It ended up being a pretty and rainy Tuesday. 😀🌄☂️🍽️❤️
