An unexpected change of plans.

I went to have x-rays of my hip this morning after yesterday morning’s mishap

After looking at the x-rays of my left hip, my doctor showed me how the poly liner in my new hip had somehow, inexplicably shifted out of position in the cup that holds it in place against my pelvic bone…

The friction that I was feeling in my hip was the stem head rubbing against the now out-of-position poly liner. Long story short, I have to undergo a total left hip revision surgery tomorrow at 3pm. It’s not the full total hip replacement surgery like before. From what I understand, they are just going to go in to replace the damaged poly liner and stem head. I’ll be staying overnight again but then afterward I should hopefully, be good to go once again. Fingers crossed. 😐🏥🤞❤️

Three years ago…

Tonight was the MLB All-Star Game. With every All-Star Game, I’ll always think back to all the fun we had with the festivities that led up to the MLB All-Star Game three years ago when Cincinnati hosted the mid-summer classic…

Thanks for all the wonderful memories, Timehop.  😀⚾️⭐️🦕❤

Two years ago…

Two years ago tonight, we went to watch our fledgeling new boys, FC Cincinnati play their very first international friendly against Premier League mainstay, Crystal Palace FC right in our backyard at Nippert Stadium…

There were so many highlights from that inaugural season of FC Cincinnati soccer. But the friendly against Crystal Palace at Nippert Stadium was definitely one of the top highlights of the inaugural season for me. Thanks again for reminding us of all the wonderful memories, Timehop.  😀⚽️🦕❤

Along I-75 South.

This afternoon we went up to West Chester to pick up Oscar. He’s been staying with Geri while I recovered from my surgery. It’s great to have him coming back home…

Every time we drive home along I-75 from up north, we pass this odd little building next to the train tracks that run alongside the highway. We’ve passed it a bunch of times since we’ve moved to Northside but I’ve never got to take a photo of it because I’m usually driving. Today, I got to be the passenger on our way home from picking up Oscar. And I finally got to take some photos of that odd little building…

I took a video out the window on our way home too with my new Polaroid CUBE+

I don’t know why, but I just love videos taken out of the windows of cars. Just watching all the scenery go by, there’s something very en about it to me. I also took some photos with my CUBE+ on our way home once we got off I-75…

My new CUBE+ is fun. But it’s so good to have Oscar home again.

Downtown details.

Waiting at the traffic light at Vine and Central Parkway. Taken with Instagram. 😀🏙️❤️

Eating good in the neighborhood.

We haven’t eaten at an Applebee’s in forever. I really don’t know why. I guess there are just so many other options out there. Better chain options. And even better non-chain options. We stumbled across an Applebee’s in Finneytown and for whatever reason, we stopped there today for lunch. Genifer had this Chicken Fajita Rollup

And I had this Riblet Basket and added a skewer of grilled shrimps…

Both of our lunches were surprisingly good. Nothing we’d be rushing right back for, but yet surprisingly good. Just thought we’d share. 😀🍎❤️

It’s a sign.

For today’s 2018 Northside Fourth of July Parade

ps. Whoever did the illustration for the poster did a really nice job. It’s pretty sweet…

Happy Fourth of July.

Happy Independence Day, everybody! We hope you have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July and get to see some fireworks too. 😀🇺🇸❤️

ps. Here’s some Fourth of July trivia from the Smithsonian.

Thank you, Deskey!

We got this is the mail today from my work…

That was so nice of them. Thank you, Deskey.

A little bit of Timehopping.

I can’t believe it’s already July. Where does the time go? It sure does seem to go faster and faster, that’s for sure. I was looking at my Timehop this morning. Two years ago today, we moved the very last of our stuff out of our little apartment downtown…

And we were just starting to get situated in our new big house in Northside…

Three years ago, downtown Cincinnati was ramping up for the MLB All-Star Game…

And four years ago, the United States Men’s National Team bowed out of the 2014 World Cup in that epic match against Belgium where United States goalkeeper Tim Howard stood on his head in goal to make 16 saves in one match. It was really something to see. A rollercoaster of emotion. But hats off to Tim Howard! The match could have easily ended 5 or 6 to Belgium…

Thanks for the wonderful memories, Timehop! 😀🦕❤
